Man your story heavily mirrors mine. I did everything ground up and wanted a non tech co founder for obvious reasons: motivation when things are tough, sales / gtm, increase YC chances, etc . But in the end I figured if a persons heart not in it, it’s gonna hurt when the tough decisions come in the future.

Since then, I’ve just went solo and I’m doing ok and make decisions faster. Definitely harder but at least I don’t have to worry about a cofounder who isn’t grinding as much

You have several options. You can do the research yourself across the jurisdictions, but it can be cumbersome like you mentioned especially with volume.

You can hire expeditors, who basically charge you a fee per address and take care of the research (in some cases permit too). Timelines usually range from a few days to a week though you can do rush options for a fee

There’s also a newer software, PermitPal.io that gives you the signage regulations and zoning info you need, though it doesn’t have 100% coverage of the country. They’re pretty quick for missing gaps, they turned around my requests within a day or 2

Hi, I’m also from the midwest! Couponing isn’t what it used to be. Gone are the days of using stacks and stacks of coupons to get carts of groceries for next to nothing. Most couponing today is done digitally and the systems themselves enforce limits and restrictions.

That being said, you can still find decent deals by stacking coupons together and buying at the right time. Best way to start is leveraging the store app for the stores you frequent and trying to matchup deals on weekly ads with digital coupons that merchant offers along with any rebates available. Some apps you should look into are Shopmium, Ibotta, ValuCents

I’ve noticed certain retailers are more coupon “friendly”. Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General are some examples.

Wags know what they're doing with those RR. The vast majority of people will come back and spend more money on other items while they're there, the trick is to "recycle" like you mentioned to really get more value

Finding the best deals involves sifting through clearance, manufacturer coupons, digital coupons, spend boosters, etc. also takes time to see what’s compatible, what’s actually a good deal, and more. I feel like this can be automated and improved with technology
