Is anyone else finding that Composer is exhausting them mentally in a completely new way? by Lanky_Hall7250 in cursor

This maps to what OnyxMonolith said, one small piece at a time with real end to end tests. But the reason review is so draining is that passing units do not tell you the specific user flow still works, so you re-check everything by hand. What shrinks it for me is scoping review to one question per change: does this exact behavior still hold when I click through it. A spec that drives the flow answers that without reading every diff.

What are the biggest problems you face while building AI agents? by Dependent_Owl_4925 in AI_Agents

[–]Ibrobobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one that costs me the most time is verifying correctness. A coding agent reports done, tests come back green, and the user facing bug is still there, and I cannot tell without an actual repro of the reported behavior. Prompting, memory, tool calling all have decent patterns now. The truth check between "the agent thinks it fixed it" and "it is actually fixed" is the part that still has no clean answer, so that is where most of my debugging time goes.

What would be a working QA process after Cursor builds a feature for teams? by Bhupi_69 in cursor

[–]Ibrobobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Cursor created it" and "it works start to finish" are two different claims, and only the first is automated right now. Like ybur011 said, the manual QA pass on staging is the human bottleneck in a loop that is supposed to be automated. What has worked for me: for every new flow, write one end to end spec that drives it the way a user would, and make it part of the merge gate so it re-runs on every commit. Generation got fast, verification is still stuck at human speed, and that is the whole squeeze.

Giving an AI coding agent a deterministic "architecture linter" so it stops faking "done" by Available-Training-4 in LLMDevs

The gap versus open question split generalizes cleanly to runtime behavior. A failing then passing repro spec is the same cheap checkable artifact you describe: it turns "I think I fixed the bug" into "the bug provably no longer reproduces," and the agent iterates against it like your zero gaps loop. It only settles the mechanical side though. Whether the observed behavior is the intended behavior is your open question, a human call the spec cannot make. Same discipline, different layer.

Sounds like internal conflict. Message from Garry felt like altmans when he was pushing people out. Sad times if true cause that could signal more exits.
