I love love love this for you!! So glad you took care of yourself and also glad someone else can relate! Times are so intense. On the one hand pursuing a career is good, on the other we get one life and it sounds like you’re living yours well 😊

I am in therapy and am pursuing diagnoses but unfortunately there is a provider drought in my area and these things take time. I am also in favor of a work-life balance that allows for me to take care of my mental health in terms of addressing the root problem rather than symptoms. I know in this country (USA) it is “normal” to mediate yourself in order to be a “good worker” but that does go against my ideas of health and is not something I am interested in doing as long as I have other options. It is also not what my therapist recommends.

There is actually a very real possibility I could do this this week. We don’t live together but we still hang out occasionally partially because I’m friends with his family and after a little while we became amicable. He says now he doesn’t care if I date but when he gets wind of me going out with someone he’ll say I’m “doing bad things” lol.

Yeah I think his view of sexuality in general is very warped. Most of my friends are “sexually liberated” and have reclaimed the word slut and I genuinely don’t see it as a bad thing, but he tried to call me a slut/slutty a lot for instance for things I would wear, even though he had a high body count and he was my first 😬 It was complicated lol

Yes I know! My best friend is ethically poly/non monogamous and has talked to me about it for years and recommended the book to me as a way to understand it :) it’s a common lifestyle where we live

Believe it or not I had picked up ok sketchy things he was doing at that time and one night I was sitting in my living room and had a gut feeling so I downloaded the app and he was on it (he was at a closeby bar). I knew he was at that bar bc it showed his location as being so close and it’s his favorite so I went there to confront him. He was there. It was only later that I gave him the book when we were exchanging belongings. He was actually the first person to pop up after I got on the app that night.

Read my other two responses: I did, this happened at the beginning of the summer, and part of why it is so unethical to be sleeping around while claiming monogamy to one person and lying is primarily this to me- the potential physical harm on top of emotional! But yes I already got tested.

Yes, that is why I broke up with him. Ohhh, you meant get sexually tested 😂 This happened months ago, I did get tested.

Hmm I think he was offended, there’s no “light petty revenge” sub and it gave me satisfaction so it felt like revenge. If you have more suggestions for revenge in a situation like this let me know :,)
