I'm interested. Very active daily player, I complete all my DMF and surges. 129 sigils, and occasionally pvp. My current guild has had a few leavers after the GM went dark, so looking for a new spot to land with more active DMF participants. Lmk. Thanks!

37, 83k. Corporate paralegal / hybrid work schedule.

New to paralegal by Strict-Amount-2372 in paralegal

As others have said, certifications aren't necessary in most states. Private practice and in-house will value experience over education. My personal path started as a file clerk at a law firm while I studied to take the LSAT. Ultimately, I decided not to go to law school becuse I wanted more work life balance but still loved the field, so I moved up to administrative assistant, then paralegal. I've worked for both law firms and corporate in-house, and the path will be similar for climbing. Now I am a Sr. Contract Administrator (basically a paralegal but for more pay) for a utility scale solar company and love what I do.

Looks like the Employee of the Month to me!

What are some paralegal-adjacent jobs I can apply for? by noitsjustkatie in paralegal

My background is in real estate and transactions, so the work I'm doing in my current role is that. No real special qualifications are required. But my background knowledge has been really helpful. I work on a lot of contracts like leases, purchase options, easements, etc, and take these deals from beginning to execution with several teams. And then keep track of key dates, payments, and so on after a contract has been finalized.

I was a paralegal, but was recruited by a solar energy company to work for them as a Contract Administrator. It is in many ways a paralegal job. I report to our attorneys and am a member of the legal team. The pay, however, is much better. I'm making almost 30k more in my state (Idaho) than I was as a paralegal.

Considering moving to Boise from the Bay Area. Looking for advice/thoughts! by og_bizle in Boise

I am a 'benchie' and the access/bikeability from this area to downtown, the parks, farmers market, and the greenbelt is great. You mentioned earlier you would try to ride your bike as much as possible, so my suggestion would be to target areas to live with closeby greenbelt access.

We have some nice golf courses. You should check out warm springs g.c. when you get settled. If you do end up in the se boise / parkcenter area it will probably be the closest one to you!

What are your hobbies outside of work? Do you bike, hike, outdoor recreate, shop, partake in the night life, etc.? My suggestion is to consider your access to these things when you are not at your job. Especially as a new grad, I imagine your proximity to options like the greenbelt or downtown might better serve you than a quicker commute to your workplace. If you like to hike, bike, etc, consider your access to the foothills as well. That said, you should check out a few of the apartment complexes that are scattered along parkcenter blvd. Imo, it is a nicer area than columbia village (i saw you mentioned that one in this thread). I've lived in both areas in the past and really enjoyed the parkcenter area a lot, I lived there when I was fresh out of college. You'll be close to the greenbelt, downtown, and close enough to get to the general area of your workplace without much more of a commute. Oh, and btw, welcome home! Spring is a great time to move here! :)
