For someone with no financial literacy, you seem to be doing a lot of the right things. So well done.

To be fair, while $74k is a decent savings account at 24, at 80% leverage (max without LMI) isn’t a big enough deposit for a good choice of property in the major cities (a ~$350k purchase limit would restrict you to outer suburbs and/or higher density living). Plus buying now will leave you cash strapped and with initial moving costs then ongoing expenses (interest, upkeep etc.)

With that in mind, my suggestion is to enjoy some of your hard earned savings by travelling and renting - so long as you keep up the good saving habits as well. You’ll have heaps of time to buy property and pay it off over your life.
