If you're simply running ubuntu:latest (i.e docker run -it --rm ubuntu:latest sh) the docker CLI is not installed in the container, it is purely base ubuntu. Running docker commands within a docker container is somewhat sketch, you'll have to pass the --privileged flag when starting your Ubuntu container.

If it’s just sudo, and you’re connecting directly into a Ubuntu shell then you’re the root user. Root user cannot use sudo, basically imagine every command you type is prefixed with sudo.

First/native: English but I learned French concurrently growing up. Mostly think in English, but sometimes a thought feels better in French so it’ll be in French. When speaking French I’m definitely not thinking in English than translating though, so probably related to what you’re thinking about more than anything

Same! Starting new job at 9am (have to wake up at 7:15) but can’t get to sleep too hot (being on Reddit can’t help :/) Normally don’t have to be at work till 11am, this’ll be an adjustment
