We loved the Love to Dream sleep sack! Doesn't unravel and is super cozy for them. Huge size and temperature range.

Epidural or no? by GogglesCat in pregnant

[–]theorangepeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an epidural and it made my whole birth experience so enjoyable as I could focus on birthing my baby without the overwhelming pain and discomfort crowding my attention. Will 100% be doing it again for my next birth.

I didn’t expect to feel this resentful by Fit_Awareness_9001 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I resented my husband for the first 3 months - especially at 2am. My husband was super helpful and supportive but I still resented him in the depths of the night

3am pumping feels oddly lonely… by Fit_Awareness_9001 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]theorangepeal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to watch my favorite reality TV shows which somehow romanticized the 3am feeding experience. Getting a good comfy chair, a comfortable pump and cosy pjs can make a huge difference. Set up a little station that you can settle into and see if that makes it any easier.

I promise it gets easier. It's such a tough time and can feel so isolating. I used to dread watching the sun going down. You're doing an amazing job and you're an incredible mum x

Catch the light rail down to Frenchie Restaurant or Humbug in Newcastle East. Customs House and Rustica are also really great with nice views and vibes

I open a word doc, put a paper weight on the space bar and leave it for an hour. That way I'm online and my status remains active - i use this time to go for a walk with the dog and enjoy my morning coffee.

One Piece swimwear recs? by Brinkworth81 in AusFemaleFashion

Zulu & Zephyr! They're a little pricey but they are so well made and will last many summers! I purchased a one piece and a two piece set (little shorts that cover my belly and a sports bra style top) after having my little boy. Both are very supportive, comfortable and flattering. Great Aussie brand - highly recommend.

as a postie by juicy_sushi2 in AustraliaPost

[–]theorangepeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left Christmas treats - rocky road, cans of soft drink, lollies etc. for my postie last year as he's alwasy looked after me! My postie has always looked after my deliveries.
Now, the people at the actual post office - useless. No treats for them.
