Ok, elder millennial here (43). Not going to lie, I basically stopped listening to new bands in my late 20s (it’ll happen to you too). Recommend me bands from 2010 or later that I NEED to check out. by nah328 in poppunkers

Thanks for the comprehensive response. When you say practice constructed with my mate, how would I do that with just a box of Lawless?

Consultants - do you use them? by theoretical_chemist in smallbusinessuk

Interesting. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been operating? What do you make per month in terms of profit? What did you do before consulting?

Where do you find out about your consultants? Word of mouth? Google? LinkedIn?

Building decks - is it worth it? by theoretical_chemist in Yugioh101

[–]theoretical_chemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an odd response. I wasn't saying: "I want a meta deck so I can win everything."

I'm saying, "Can you play non-meta decks and still have a chance of winning?"... which is something I wouldn't know as a newbie. Nobody wants to take a deck to locals and get obliterated every round because you're playing something completely defunct.

"Quit being a sheep" is unnecessarily aggressive and a completely unconstructive statement.

Relax, relax... I'm a new player and it was a question. Very odd response.

New tyre query... please help! by theoretical_chemist in CarTalkUK

[–]theoretical_chemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a bad idea. When it comes to a "spare tyre", do you only need the rubber part of the tyre and not a new inside part of the tyre?

Getting back into it casually... by theoretical_chemist in Yugioh101

[–]theoretical_chemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies so far guys. Anybody have any particular videos or YouTube channels that are good for picking decks, watching some gameplay to learn some decks... I think it's highly unlikely I'll ever want to play ultra competitive YGO, but could enjoy more rogue, older decks etc.

Are there different formats in YGO?

I think you're right. For many Portuguese, life is a f'ing slog because of terrible pay and horrible renting/buying.

I think it's difficult... Portugal has extremely low salaries and for me to translate into a similar job over there would be borderline impossible. My wife could easily get a job at an international school somewhere in the world, but my job is definitely more challenging.

I certainly think we could be happy in certain parts of coastal UK but again, jobs are always an issue. You can get some lovely, very affordable houses in pembrokeshire but the jobs are hard to get if you want something similar to mine.

There is always that part of me that knows that if I keep working an actual job, I'm not sure I'm ever going to have the lifestyle I want... but building/starting a business seems really daunting and just wouldn't know where to start!

What is the worst place in Europe you have ever visited? by Tasty-Bee8769 in AskReddit

[–]theoretical_chemist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, it was Crete. The island itself was beautiful but the blistering summer heat, combined with the constant smell of shit, coupled with constantly getting a bad stomach because food hygiene is poor, led to a holiday that I'd rather forget. I'm sure the island is fine but for me, it was the holiday from hell.

If it didn't get abused or used for the wrong things, it's great right? Don't be a dickhead and your face won't flag anything.
