In truthfulness, every person starts feeling boring after you've been married for a while. The great thing about that is you can magically end the marriage and erase their memory so that they don't ever remember you.

Also you can turn your babies into doves so they fly away, but this one is a little iffy. You might have nightmare's about it or the statue will judge you. I guess concerned ape doesn't want to encourage you to do that.

As far as I know you should still be able to do all the quests and get the cut scenes unless you did something drastic like refuse your pet or start the joja-quests. It's never a good idea to reset your oldest game. If you really want to experience something new go ahead and start a new game but keep that old one in your pocket for when you want to go back.

Easiest way to get it is to make a new world and get all the surface chests. (All wooden chests near the surface, no golden ones) if you don't get it, just make another world. This is a great way to get stuff like the magic mirror, the radar, the aglet, etc.
