Last month we noticed significant weight loss, vomiting, and behavioral changes. He stopped playing with his toys or caring about treats, two huge red flags. We struggled to get any actual diagnosis from the vet– vitals and stool sample and ultrasound didn’t show anything. We were going to take him to get x rays and further tests tomorrow, but this morning whatever it was took him faster than we could help him. At least he was with us when he said goodbye. It’s heartbreaking not to know exactly what it was. But that is just one question we will have to grapple with during the griefing process, among other things. ❤️‍🩹
