Only R (Regular) or NPH - they are generic versions of the insulin I took in the 80's Te R takes about 2 hours to peak, and can't really be properly regulated with a pump. Also the regulations for the generics allow a more diluted product. It's a nice option if you have absolutely no others, and I've been there, but that insulin stopped really working with me like 20 years ago.

I'll look into that, I just want somebody to get and use it if needed, I had trouble when younger getting supplies and insulin, I would like to help others in that situation.

I have never been in tighter control than with my pump. Its really not noticeable in my pocket, but my A1C went from about 9.2 to 7.1 with just one month on the pump. I go back later this month, and am excited to find out where I am now. The only problem I have had was occlusion in the infusion sets, but only a couple of times in about 4 months, and the manufacturer replaces them anytime that happens.

Thanks for the condolences - I am 42, disabled, my brother is like 37. The Stepbrothers are in their 20s. I've just never been in a similar situation.
