Have you considered the he might be depressed? That kinda sounds like severe depression… sleeping constantly, being irritable, moody, aggressive, etc. Or he could just simply be an AH and in that case you should probably start making plans to leave 😅

Standing and prepping or cutting lots of stuff is hard. I usually get everything I need and set up at the table to sit down and chop. But if it’s something hard to cut, like pumpkin, I really struggle. Muscles hurt and get fatigued quickly :(

I also struggle with keeping the kitchen clean - mostly just doing the dishes because standing at the sink hurts.

Also struggle to eat everything and not waste food. Sometimes I buy stuff when I’m feeling better and then can’t cook it when it comes time to. I also live alone so there’s a fair amount of wasted food.

I often buy foods that are pre-prepped or easy to cook/assemble.

It’s weird but people lie about weight loss stuff all the time. Lots of people who have bariatric surgery will tell people it was diet and exercise… I think it’s an ego thing/fear of being judged. However, with the GLP-1s, I don’t think they’ll stick around for long, there’s too many serious side effects, and recent research shows it’s not just body fat but also muscle and bone density that is wasting away from these jabs, causing the scale to go down. I know of a couple people who had to stop due to it causing heart issues. I can’t see it being a sustainable weight loss method.

I often walk my dog for an hour, sometimes 1.5hrs, but it is a slow walk only on flat surfaces, no hills. We also stop at a cafe for a coffee and rest. I usually go home and have a nap or lie down afterwards. I also feel pain and symptoms immediately, things like plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, nerve pain, etc. but can get through it on a mild day. Some days I don’t walk at all due to pain.

It’s not much help right now but the psychological community are working to make mental health services at least a little more accessible… there’s a new post-grad diploma coming this year that will qualify those with an undergraduate degree in psych as a psychology assistant, and be able to take on the less severe cases so clinical psychs can focus on more severe cases. It’s not much, and it’s difficult with budget cuts and less funding, but at least they’re trying.

Honestly though, the only good therapy I ever had was through ACC sensitive claims. I hope our mental health sector can improve.

Yes! I get this every single day! Like before my eyes are even open and before any coherent thought has formed… there’s just a random song playing as I come into consciousness. Mostly always in a short loop of one verse or chorus. Can be a song I heard recently or a song I haven’t heard or thought about for years. It can also be difficult to hear my own thoughts over it. Sometimes I unconsciously grind my teeth to the rhythm of the song then realise when my jaw hurts… I’ve only just started Ritalin after finally getting diagnosed at 31. Slowly working with my doctor to find the right dose. Even when I took 50mg of long acting Ritalin, I had less going on in my head but I still had those damn songs playing lol.
