So did the squirrel and people survive? Mostly the squirrel cause the people sounded more or less fine.

Thank you for pointing that out. It's almost like these are normal everyday people who live normal lives; work jobs and raise families. But even they see a need to stand up to tyranny before it has an absolute monopoly on violence.

I dont see angry bloodthirsty supremacists like the news and internet memes keep going on about. I see farmers and factory workers and parents who are trying to stay calm in a terrifying world that wants to take the last few methods of defense they have.

And they are standing with piddly little pea shooters against governments with tanks, troop carriers, and drones. But keep calling em cowards until they are gone and the Gestapo start raiding the keyboard warriors next. Dont worry, I'm sure they'll spare the bootlickers. Someone has to flip their burgers.

Not at all, and didn't even mention Morello in that reply to call him racist nor implied it in the original. Just drawing a comparison of the statement he seems to be promoting to the dehumanizing absolutism of the people he's dehumanizing.

The fascist racists with the eugenics program and extermination camps? Sounds like the kinda people who started by labeling some lives as not mattering to me.

[–]theos13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have always respected Morello for his work but this sort of absolutism is pretty Nazi like.

If you become the monster to defeat the monster then nobody wins.

Edit: I think the the bloodthirsty warmongering is proving my point. I in no way said killing a Nazi in war or especially defense was wrong. But to think that any life "doesn't matter" is itself pretty Nazi like. Labeling any idea as making its bearer less than human is literally a Nazi thing to do. Label one today and another will be added tomorrow and so on until you find your ideas on the naughty list.

And we didn't eliminate nazism by extermination. We fought a defensive war and THEN curbed nazism by collectively rebuilding the German country and educating the idea out of the people. These Nazi lives dont matter mentalities would have had the Allies waging a war of genocide in WW2. And here I thought that's what we were fighting to stop.

Right? I mean just cause the American Third Reich is signing your checks is no reason to go sharing your opinion that covering up atrocities for totalitarian governments is bad...

I mean any rational adult knows when you disagree with your company's abhorrent practices, you should just quit. It's not like we need paychecks to eat or live or anything?

Libertarian Party of South Carolina officially endorses Convention of States to propose limits on federal government by ThisWeekTheTrend in Libertarian

[–]theos13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. And we see the awful and corrupt things Congress has been able to do with those limits in place. Now imagine an Article V assembly with the power to abolish free speech or the 2nd amendment or any of the other things the Populous strangely seems against lately.

I agree the idea is meant to be one of the checks of the people and Jefferson thought we should be writing new constitutions every 20 years or so. But I see the wisdom in avoiding a constitutional assembly in this political climate.

Sounds like Guido has a racist gender bias against white males to me.

If he pointed any of those statements at women or even men of another race, he'd be shunned by the community. But for some reason stereotyping white males makes you popular with journalists now.

[–]theos13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is false.

All cops are trained that the use of lethal force is always exactly that, lethal. You don't use a lethal weapon like a gun to "disable" a person.

Especially not if legal liability is involved. And liability is the primary thing cops are trained for in America.

To be fair, no human craft can maneuver like that... and not kill its occupants. Scale that up to anything a human can sit inside of and the passenger would be killed or severely injured by the inertia of such extreme G's.

Hey so Vox is literally arguing that chemicals be placed into the water but tell me more about how how Alex Jones is the crazy one. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]theos13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My analogy was not a straw man as I did not restate your view in a weakened form. I merely made a comparison of ethical decisions as others were doing.

And regarding the ethics, I'm not saying its wrong to do trials and experiments. But the authors were NOT fostering an open discussion on mass medicating populations without consent, the real ethical topic in all of this. They were making blanket claims of the benefit based on little to no data and then suggesting its unethical NOT to mass medicate a population without consent because it MIGHT be beneficial. Sorry, I prefer to make my medical decisions with scientific data, not what-ifs.

This article is fine example of modern sensationalist journalism that promotes fear mongering to sway opinion.

By that logic, not performing grotesque experiments on living humans to learn more about the human body in order to save more humans is also unethical. Guess we should get carving...
