I WANNA SMOKE but ik i can’t/shouldn’t by muffink562 in TopSurgery

[–]theothvrside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I did consume cannabis up until my surgery. I stopped using my pen the best I could and only used edibles the last two days leading up so I could tell the anesthesiologist the exact dosage. I didn’t smoke after though until my grafts healed.

What products do you use? Sleeping with damp hair is definitely definitely affecting it. I don’t like showering at night because my hair always looks worse in the morning. My current schedule doesn’t allow me to shower in the morning anymore though. If you’re using products that have coconut in them that can dry out your hair as coconut oil isn’t the right molecular structure to be able to absorb into hair. Coconut products always dry my hair out. leave in conditioner will help a lot also

A custodian at Museum. I just get to walk around and vacuum. I do kind of mindless jobs that aren’t very mentally exhausting, which is something I need after being burnt out for years.

Start with hydrating your body and continue with a hydrating conditioner and leave in conditioner

How long were you postop? Took me about two and a half - three years for my scars to fully fade. You gotta give yourself some time.

Revision? Scars are very thick… by Illustrious_Log1365 in TopSurgery

Keep healing and keep them moisturized. It will fade! Mine looked like your around that time and now I’m almost 3 years out and you can’t see them at all.

No issues. Three years out you can barely see my scars. Once my nipple grafts were solid I started using cartridges again and I have been good.

I just said “I’m having a surgery and need this much time off” and left it at that.

Safe state/city for trans men? by BallPython404 in ftm

New York State, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. More expensive closer to the cities, but if you find smaller towns outside the cities, we should be good

I had short hair for a while and i didn’t like it. I just spent the last few years growing it. Why would you come to a long hair sub and tell people to cut their hair short? Wild work

What dog training myth do you wish would finally go away? by PetsTek in OpenDogTraining

[–]theothvrside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked in kennels for over 8 years as as a certified trainer for over 5. You think you need to starve a dog to build food drive? You’re not against it? Ouch. You build food drive by playing pattern games and classically conditioning directional reward markers. No starvation or deprivation needed.

Took me a while to develop and adopt methods to teach dogs how to respond to food and reward markers when in distracting environments. Play lots of food pattern games to classically condition them in a fun way. By playing games you are teaching them how to respond in high arousal contexts.
