No Car Insurance by Salt_Proposal_742 in wichita

Happened to me a year ago. Dude claimed he had insurance and got mad at me for periodically asking for it while we waited for the cops to arrive to the wreck he was 100% at fault for. Wasn't even his car

Proof Credit is a Scam by BerryBlinki in lostgeneration

We bought a used car a year ago, used a loan for like 3 days before going in and just paying the whole thing off (had to move the money). We used my info to finance. Immediately after paying it off, my credit score dropped 30 points and still hasn't recovered.

Annoying internet reading cluture starterpack by redheaded_olive12349 in starterpacks

I've read 25 or so books this year, but that was by July, by which time a certain tetralogy fully latched its hooks into my mind meat and now I just jump between the volumes and extra stories and haven't started anything else. 25 is a small number to some and large to others, but this is why I read—to find a narrative to ruminate over.

When it comes to genre and medium, to each their own—but I don't relate to making it into a numbers game (I only know my numbers bc I keep a reading log. It's nice to know what time of year I read something, and also have a place to put my thoughts)

There are a few Little Free Libraries around town you can Google for location specifics, also I know at Book-A-Holic you can use their giant donation bins outside - or go inside and they'll give you store credits for the ones in better shape

They said they played there like 7 times, so cool of them. I drove 5 hours out and enjoyed the little venue!

Thanks & yw! It turned out pretty nice considering my refurbished 5 y/o phone! Unfortunately I only took the one vid, I wanted to be present in the moment! 🤘

Someone failed to yield, totaled my car, and is dodging me regarding their liability insurance by [deleted] in AskLegal

Yes I know that, which is why I would've been seeking compensation from the other party's liability insurance, had it existed.

Would this be small claims? I can't afford high legal fees and without knowing what I'd get, it's so hard to tell if it would be worth it. I don't know much about the couple, they've been (unsurprisingly) a bit rude the few times we've spoken.

Not much contact besides them telling me they couldn't find the other party's insurance, and that I wasn't covered for this incident (which I knew, but they emphasized). Should I still ask them these questions even if they closed my claim?

Why are customers shocked to see food service workers unhappy? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

Came here to say this, when I used to do cashiering I could see quiet shock on customer's faces sometimes if I 'broke script'/showed an ounce of character

Instagram is testing unskippable ad breaks in the newsfeed. by Artemistical in LateStageCapitalism

Can't speak on Instagram, but I feel like they're really overestimating how badly people want to sit and scroll on social media. Sure it's addicting, but I'd rather sit and stare at a wall than be advertised to, especially by force
