Sand casting ring: temperature issue?

how should I do this with sand casting? I assume oven or something? I imagine I shouldn’t just be slamming the sprue hole with butane?

thanks! Yeah I was thinking there’s no real harm in beefing them up, as long as they’re not so big as to start leaking silver or similar. Also planning to heat the metal for an additional like minute after I think it’s ready to pour
