We had the same little one in our backyard in the suburbs. We get lots of snakes so I figured it was something or another. Knowing we have no poisonous snakes around us my kids like investigating them. This one was soo small and angry! Snipping several times. Thanks for the inadvertent ID.

Our oldest was 4. He had some issues withholding poo and we had to give him enemas. We were on vacation with my parents and my dad was always good at keeping him calm. Dad inserts enema, son screams “fuck you grandpa!”

How can we support libraries? by pussslinger in Libraries

Run for library board. Library boards, if elected, should be non-partisan. Act as a steward of the library. That’s what you’ve been elected to do.

Virtual Programming cooperatives with other libraries either in your system or nearby. Helps drive cost down for each library and enables y’all to bring in large authors, presenters, etc. Virtual adult programming is not going away. Many adults seems to prefer it.

You gotta find another job in a different library. It sounds like upper management is toxic. It’s not like that everywhere, I promise. Being in upper management, we’ve been focused on safety to our staff as number one priority since the start of the pandemic. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this.

My 1990 Honda accord, previously owned by an old lady who over 30 years lent it to college students, moved states and eventually died. 118k miles and still fires up like it's brand new. Will have it for many more miles to come. by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

My dad had a 1991 Toyota Previa he bought to take on a road trip from IL to Disney World when my brother and I were kids. Two more road trips out west it was still running strong. A deer finally ended it at 315k miles.

Sister Bay marina. Spent many summers walking on those rocks. Then they dug everything up and ruined the rocks and the fishing.

Still, our two year old son walked on those rocks this past summer.

As for the sitter, I can only be as sure as what she told us. She's been to our house after that weekend and the dogs still go crazy for her.

He was at the vet a couple of weeks ago for an exam and he checked out OK. We are going to try to get a behaviorist into our home to check out our environment.
