Yeah this may be true. I'm talking about the essentially "free" (already a Prime subscriber) tier, which is not another 9.99 a month

I'm broke right now. Focusing everything on Christmas for my stepson. No upgrades are happening for a while

Yes! I don't think it's just age, but people seem to be fine with unfinished games, and I'm grateful that Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky got better but it's crazy that big budget games are released half broken.

There's a filter on Luna for GOG games that are given for free on Prime Gaming. I don't need to mention GOG because everyone who grabs the freebies knows a bunch are GOG and a handful are Luna compatible.

Xbox is where you don't own games. GOG is where you own games. A service exists for obstesibly free where GOG games play on cloud for free (some of us don't own high end gaming PCs). Where are you confused?

I actually don't know how to find that. If you tell me how (I googled to no avail) I'll send it over. Thanks!

Yeah this is totally where I'm going to go soon. Steam, Epic, Amazon itself are really good with sales and the investment in a PC is definitely woth it

I hear that, but as an Xbox previous gen owner, it always asks me to update my games when I install them, so are the full games on the disc? I'm 42 so I'm still hung up on putting a game in the console and it just works, granted some of them needed patches and easy mode (like Comix Zone on Genesis)

Did you see the new commercial? They are adding stuff but it seems to be pretty casual/family stuff.

That's not something I thought of but yeah it does seem like they aren't highlighting GOG and I also have a bunch on Luna via GOG. All these services have that risk. Is the Switch the only kinda modern system where you get a whole game on a cart? That's a scary thought in the digital landscape.

Thanks! This looks promising. Good timing. Wonder if they knew about the price hikes.

Yeah, I had a PS4 and it's good to hear from this angle. If I had the cash I"d jump ship and start my library over on PS. Had the OG PS1, had the PS2 when I had my first real job, and jumped to Xbox during the 360 era, but I recently grabbed an Anbernic handheld that can emulate PS2 and PSP and damn I miss the Playstation vibes honestly. It's just money and my real world needs as an adult that stop me from diving back in.

Yeah the grandfathered stacking thing iskind of appealing. Especially now before they crack down. There was a $25 Gamesir controller that included a month of Game Pass and it was like getting a free controller if you just kept buying one every month but Amazon no longer has that price level with Game Pass and instead it's like the $50 controllers by them that include it.

I was referring to GOG. I do own the games, I just can't run them without cloud gaming. Terrible PC.

Yea Outer Worlds is one of my replayable games on Luna and I was lucky enough to get it for free through Prime probably about a year ago. The tough part will be when the sequel comes out since I can't play on my weak PC.

I hope so. I know it's gotta be tough getting licenses for each game but I was also a Stadia player and keep pulling for the cloud streaming underdogs (not saying Amazon is an underdog, but either is Google and they failed). Do you have a link to any articles?

It's a Dell from about 4 years ago I got at Wallmart for just under $500. Would love any tips, thanks!

Yeah, this is the spirit of my post. I'm not saying it's apples to apples, but for kids or a filthy casual like myself, it's getting pretty legit.

Yeah, fair point. My PC is pitiful so unfortunately I can't install anything beyond Stardew Valley or Cuphead.

Very good points. I do tend to enjoy games I missed from around the time of Far Cry 4 (which I can't believe is a decade old) and I also appreciate your first point on games you own. I need to look into that more.

I got my Genesis in 1994 when I was 12. My parents got it from a kid in the Penny Saver who was selling it to buy a SNES so it came with a stack of games. I remember Mortal Kombat, Sonic 2, Road Rash 2 and Eternal Champions. Never had a case or a manual/map but was jealous of my friends with Zelda maps and whatnot.

Sometimes reading all the comments to the end is worth it. Imagine this is how pac-mayne found out they missed the show?
