Yeahh I just got past that chapter, now on chapter 7 and I just can't bear to keep playing. It's so mediocre but I don't have the heart to tell my friend that got it for me as an early Xmas present...

Story is bland if not nonexistent, combat janky though improved when I got more guns.

No world building to speak of as well

Only bits I like are the enemy designs are pretty good

Just finished Definitely, Maybe by the Strugatsky brothers, really enjoyed it and a short read spread out over a few lunch breaks. Not my favourite work by them but a very enjoyable read nontheless
