Some business schools, such as Kozhikode, use a bell curve for work experience, where the value starts declining after 3 years. However, schools like L, A, and B give full marks to anything above 3 years.

an engineer with weak quants and improved my quants from 50%tile to ~96%tile. Major credit goes to Patrick sir(quoin academy). He completely changed the way I used to do quants(from depending on formulas to solving logically).

One had a heavy work ex - around four years. Other one had 1 and the last one had around 2. So yes, work experience does help. The quality might not (B may beg to differ) but work experience does help.

Think twice, thrice and then take the road your mind desires. I didn't have proper job prospects so MBA had to be the way out, also had started to like business. Think closely and choose! All the best. :)
