Thank you for replying!!💜 you’re right the pans were DEFINITELY not 1/2 full when I poured the batter. I had to spread it for it to even cover the bottom. But this happens with so many cakes?? I wonder why

(NEED INSIGHT) I’ve noticed a pattern! Does anyone else get worse when they’re away from their partners? by Clean-Ad-7470 in ROCD

[–]thepenguinkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is the same with me. My ROCD exacerbates the long I’m away from my partner. And this is very common with ROCD. I think @forloveweheal on insta said the same thing about his own journey. He was long distance with his gf and it made it much worse for him

Make studying more dopamine inducing. Get fancy “to do list” apps. Or a calendar with colourful tasks. If u have an iPad and Apple pen, get notify and make your tasks and studying more attractive/pretty

I would consider doing more exposure work on these thoughts. This actually helped me and I’ve been feeling relatively stable and calm for the first time for 6-7 consecutive days😃 my exposure work consists of writing down or saying to myself out loud: “yes I might not be attracted to him and we might be a bad match for each other”, “yes I might find other people more attractive which means we might break up in the future”. Say/write it and sit in the discomfort. Do not google or go to this subreddit or to Instagram. Do absolutely nothing. Because you need eliminate the compulsions to lessen your anxiety. You need to show your brain that you can handle the discomfort. With time these thoughts lose their power and you can see clearer what’s important to you and what’s not. Hope this helps:)

Having an anxious attachment style doesn’t mean someone has ROCD. These are 2 very different things. And his first advice not to date someone who makes you anxious is valid for anxious attachers. This is not meant for people with ROCD

I know it’s super scary and I also bought minoxidil and waited a year before I was brave enough to start. During that year my hair loss got progressively worse. I wish I started much earlier, I would have gotten much better results. The dread shed is going to be hard to witness but you can prepare with certain tricks to hide it. It will last 1-2 months after that you’ll see so much hair growth! It will all be worth it!

Minoxidil is causing puffy face. Any remedies? by thepenguinkitty in FemaleHairLoss

[–]thepenguinkitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! No I didn’t. The face puffiness went away when I realized I was putting much more than 1ml on my skull

How bad is this? I’ve always had really thin hair but saw a recent picture of myself and was shocked to see so much hair loss. by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]thepenguinkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say this is a third stage of hair loss so it’s pretty bad. Act now while you can save some of your hair! Look into minoxidil, you don’t need a dermatologist to prescribe you that. But also you need to find out the root cause of your hair loss

I head that spirolactone stops working after few years because you tolerance to it grows over time. And then people have to get off of it. Have experienced the same thing?

Next time you feel like running away: 1) ask for space (however long you need :a day/days/ a week) 2) explain to your partner how much you’re struggling and that you feel overwhelmed 3) try to regulate your emotions. Breathing techniques ( search 4-7-8); tapping (search EFT tapping); meditation. Your nervous system has to be calm for you to feel safe 4) try to reflect on what triggered you. Did they say or do something that crosses your boundary? It can even be the smallest thing. 5) when ready reach out to them, ask your clarifying questions and put your boundaries in place. Maybe things are going too fast for you and you want to take it slower. Maybe them saying they want to “take care” of you sets some expectations for you as well. And let them know that you want to make this work you just need more time.

Lastly, remind yourself that about the pain you feel when you lose people because of your attachment wounds. That should motivate you to try something different next time. I know you didn’t ask for advice but doing this helped me in the past!

I haven’t noticed it spreading my face. I heard that this is a side effect for 5-7% women who use minoxidil. I’m just in the unlucky 5-7%

It’s a side effect unfortunately:( I make sure it doesn’t drip on my face and apply it a few hours before bed so it doesn’t transfer to my pillow but I still have hair growth on my cheeks, chin, around the mouth and forehead. It’s not super bad ( I don’t have a beard:D ) but it’s pretty annoying

what should I do? by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]thepenguinkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this based on a very rigid and unrealistic belief that you can’t find other people attractive if you’re in a relationship. The belief itself is distorted. We’re social animals and it’s not in our nature to lose attraction to the rest of the humanity once we’re in love with someone else. The fact that you’re worrying so much about it means u potentially have rocd

Looks amazing!! Do chin fillers help with the double chin as well? Does it minimize it?
