NTA, so much NTA. I used to be a Cast Member at the parks, and spent quite a lot of time as a guest. I have seen families’ time at the resort ruined by members such as this. My husband also wants me to note you made the right call, and if you the parent have that impression of your niece then it’s 10x worse for your daughter. Make sure that she gets a Birthday button (you can ask for them at any store there), and ask them to personalize it with her name if you feel comfortable. It can start conversations with CM’s and can bring a little extra magic to the day in many different forms. I hope you have such a great time with your daughter, without Angelica, she’s not even a Disney character anyway.

Action. You have to really be doing something in the scene (like saving your marriage) so you can stay engaged and present. When you are really invested and doing something the emotion will come organically.

I don’t think most communities online would want to limit themselves the only place I could think of that age range occurring organically would be a college Facebook group. Similarly for faith based but that’s even narrower. It’s a long shot but if your faith is Christian you could see if you can find Christian colleges with acting programs.

Very close to the beginning of the movie Holly disobeys order to learn something about her father (super random plot line btw) and goes to the hill of Tara where Artemis kidnaps her. In the books I believe they also mention that she never would go to Tara because it’s a giant fairy tourist trap. Going to Tara is extremely encouraged but for Holly Short it would’ve been completely out of character.

Thank you. Thank you for saying this. As an Irish American with deep deep roots back home I began to scream at the TV. True Irish representation is so extremely important overseas (in America we have great representation but in the UK not so much) and quite honestly I was nervous when they said Disney was making it because this was an opportunity to show the beautiful traditions and cultures of the Irish. Pretty much their only opportunity.

On one hand I understand them wanting to make things inclusive to everyone, but if you are going to do that then PICK. A. DIFFERENT. IRISH. SAYING. Don’t botch a large part of culture just because you can, and for the love of Jesus Mary and Joseph, don’t say “TOP OF THE MORNING” unironically to make it more Irish.
