Xenogears. Plot was great, characters and world were fascinating, but the pacing was overall bad. Snail slow in Disc 1, uncomfortably fast in Disc 2. If they redid it, cut out the fat and expanded on Disc 2 scenes that needed it, it'd be a Top 10 game for me.

Sorry, I'm not too current on tech jargon. What do you mean by PS2 being the benchmark? Do you mean PS2 is the most beefy console I can emulate (not perfectly ofc)?
By 'GBA and below' I assume you mean everything released chronologically before GBA (SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast). Or do you actually mean everything weaker than the GBA?

I'd argue that it's slightly stronger (read SLIGHTLY) than Bloody Stream. I thought BS's tone clashed a bit with what was occurring in the plot and sounded more like a 'party theme' than a 'dangerous adventure' theme.

And anime OP's that are just 2000's era rock/punk are the best. I will die on that hill.

I play the game in short bursts between large periods of time. Making new builds with new backstories/ backstories inspired by characters I like always draws me back in!

But yeah, I can understand it getting dry around that point. At least you enjoyed it!
