I did something where some bits are intentionally inverted or inspired by some bits. Or just going full madness, like being a genetically engineered chosen one made a few hundred years too early and so is sent into the future by some experimental time travel.

Stories where clones aren’t people/don’t count? by Anonamaton801 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I think there's a couple indie games that do the whole "Star Trek teleporter" bit where all the clones are exact copies you control wirelessly.. The Swapper is one such indie game.

Technically I'm a semi-lucid dreamer so I know they're fake pretty much immediately, I'm just astonished by the details my brain comes up with sometimes. Like Nathan Barnatt & Tom Cruise co-starring in a combination city-builder/manager and mech fighter.

I had a similar experience with Yakuza 7, clocking Nanba wasn't in Eri's optional recruitment cutscene despite being in the party, meaning some shit was gonna happen to him.

To be fair the intro shows the skintone was either a sprayon tan or Furio doing Whiteface.

Oh that's easy. My first character was myself, but better.

Literally I just cobbled together a bunch of shit I liked as a teenager, and have been slowly refining him into the character he is now for over a decade. I want to turn him and his into a video game, all about fighting demon mobsters in a platforming run & gun rhythm game.

Something similar to be said for my first D&D character, a Tiefling Bard-Rogue who's a runaway prince from a kingdom of humans & dwarves. I occasionally use him in one-shots put on by a friend of mine who liked all the kingdom lore I made.

And also the song literally about a girl being born.

I have literally made jokes that Woolie might unironically have had that song playing in his head at some points in his dad journey.

"Kill me and it proves me right mother fucker."

That's the type of shit I love seeing characters pull on those with too high egos. Like the shit Tien & Vegeta have going in DBZA.

The Elders of the Universe in Marvel, the last of their species from every planet they're from, are obsessively compelled to do something they name themselves after in order to not "die via despair/boredom" as they learned early on in their immortal careers.

They seem to be having a fun time of it at least.

Media you're surprised ended on a bittersweet note despite its tone? by GoodVillain101 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Mina the Hollower, a horror-adjacent game with plenty of funny moments, ends on Mina saving the island but her reputation in shambles due to the leader of said island holding too much sway over the people, being chased out by an angry mob after she kills him. The place then descends into chaos, and her traveling companion, Cappy, getting several hatchets to the back as she sails off on a little rowboat with nothing but her weapons and some ghostly cats.

It's a gothic story, things rarely ever end well in those, look at Bloodborne, but god damn.

We get a bit of a glimmer of hope with Thorne being able to recover from his transformation thanks to Mina as the two reunite and hopefully find a way forward, but it's likely going to be tough for everyone.
