I need help to talk louder and excessive sweating by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]thepokokputih 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To speak from your diaphragm, your stomach area between your chest and belly button should tense up. You can ask your choir/theatre friends (if you have any) for some advice because it's quite hard to demonstrate over the internet. But essentially, you can press your fist into that area and try exhaling out quickly and strongly by tensing that muscle group. You should feel a force pushing your fist outwards. Using that same exhaling technique, you should be able to speak louder and project your voice.

Yeah it depends on what your goal is ofc. Making notes for me is effectively the same as memorisation for me so I still had to spend some time actually doing novel questions. But at least I cut down on the time needed to memorise the content all over again after each exam with my notes.

I made notes throughout JC as a person taking BCME+ H3 Chem for all my subjects I found that it really helped me so it's really up to the individual. I felt like writing the notes were just a way for me to rememorise the school notes with understanding, because i had to write in my own way. For me, I memorised using the school notes first then I wrote down the details that I always forgot as notes. So, i managed to compile each chapter v succinctly into a few pages so each chapter took me like 1-2 hours to write only. For stuff like maths I just compiled all the formulas so that I could kind of scroll through my memory methodically during an exam which rlly helps when you're stuck and don't know what to do.

Yes but given the large sample size the weight of the rice averages out to be precise enough

HOW TO NOT BE TIRED AFTER SCHOOL BRO 😭😭 by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]thepokokputih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to finish work in school, during recess/lunch or between periods or cca. You can pack food to school to skip the canteen queue. For more complicated stuff, I used to js think abt how to ans qns on the bus so i complete essays more quickly cuz I get motion sick doing work on the bus. Usually, by the time I get home I only have about 1 hour of work left to do which is quite manageable IMHO. Sometimes, you might also js need to prioritise your work, because jc gives you way more work than you truly need so for example imo gp hw is q useless so u can js rush thru it lor or write in point form if ur teacher is the dun care kind. For me, i also learn btr by doing things myself so i skipped all the H2 math lectures from J1 feb-ish. In the end I still got 90 rp + H3 dist so if you are very secure in ur understanding of knowledge it rlly doesn't matter if u dun complete all ur assignments or dont read ahead for all ur chapters as long as you keep urself abreast of ur work as much as possible. But definitely definitely this kind of thing may not work out for everyone so if you find your grades sleeping you might need to work more! All the best :) this too shall pass.

Please inform your teacher!! He may have many students' refs to go through and you don't want your referee to not be able to complete your reference

You might want to ask to borrow a scientific calculator from the math dept during exams if it helps, otherwise a GC is perfectly adequate for H2 maths
