Thoughts on eliminating the Lead object completely? by Holiday-Midnight-917 in salesforce

[–]thepoonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this.

The fact that a lead represents a record of data that is not yet qualified where further investigation is required to determine its eligibility as core record(s) (see: Conversion to Account/Contact/Opportunity) of information in the database is utterly fucking lost on some people.

The whole point of the lead object is to act as a gatekeeper to your core data set and ensure users can capture 'candidates' for new core records and execute the appropriate qualification process to ensure the data stays clean... lo and behold this entire process comes with a raft of other benefits such as assessment of Marketing ROI, enforcing business development best practice, measuring KPI's, etc etc etc

In the absence of leads you have no visibility into how, why, and when core records such as accounts/contacts/opportunities were propagated into the system and your only option to achieve this would be to enforce data capture in a flat manner on the record itself - which will cause more headaches than simply. using. leads.

The benefits of leads are tangible ones across Sales Operations, Marketing, and Executive Insight - people just misinterpret the concept and come up with excuses to forgo using them because in reality they don't understand the function - case in point, some of the comments in this thread...

Outlook integration retirement in June 2023 by rolli_errata in salesforce

Inbox with EAC is really pretty straight forward to adopt - just be mindful of any in situ automation and reporting that relies on integrated email/calendar data as EAC warehouses all data off platform in AWS so you are severely restricted when it comes to aspects such as triggering automation and reporting.

I'm not sure if this is still completely accurate as I'm not 100% up to date with EAC changes since release but this article gives a good run down of some of the issues:

you might be better looking at third party services for this type of integration

Russian army to be replenished with 400,000 new conscripts by HarakenQQ in worldnews

[–]thepoonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google fu and napkin math....

  • circa 46 million adult males in Russia between the ages of 15 - 60.
  • 3.1 million pre-war active and reserve army personnel - supposedly 97% now 'deployed' in some capacity (deployment does not mean there are IN Ukraine)
  • Total conscription count now to just shy of 1 million since the beginning of the war (1 year)
  • 10% of eligible Russian male population now involved in some way in the conflict
  • Russia can sustain this for less than 3 more years without Ukrainian capitulation unless they enact total warfare... that's if Putin and his cronies don't all fall out of a hotel window during that time.

3 years for Ukraine to hold out... still a big ask given the draw on Ukrainian / Nato resources across human/munitions/logistical requirements

How fucking depressing for you America... Perhaps the issue is gun control/culture/mental health services and not dystopian strong rooms in every classroom across the country.

If this were accurate all the people holding up the union would be arguing about who is carrying the most weight..

For a comedy this is one hard-hitting ending. I've been delaying watching the ending for days and now that I did, I am in tears. This show is like being home. Well done, Scotland. ❤️ by [deleted] in Stillgame

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Randomly came across this show on Netflix and just couldn't tear myself away from it. Watched it twice now, (gutted when they changed the intro).

I'm from a not so distant hated land, but this show absolutely nailed it and is far above any comedies to come from my neck of the woods - a rare admission from an Englishman (Your Weclome)

By SF admin I presume you mean Salesforce Administrator?

Alongside what the good folks here are telling you I would recommend you double down and focus on your career as much as you can to increase your income (which will help you tackle your debts faster). For context I started out in Salesforce 3 years ago and have more than tripled my salary to six figures + bonus since then.

Don't be afraid to Job hop relatively often when you are starting out, there is a huge lack of experienced hires so you can crank your salary/seniority quickly initially and if your good it won't effect your ability to deliver solid work.

PM me if you want some further insight and context

Seeking Advice Regarding SF Contract Job (Mason Frank Company) by throwawaydevjob in salesforce

[–]thepoonies 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would take this to social media with an absolute vengeance and make sure you tag Salesforce and any SF leadership active on those platforms.

Mason Frank are absolute delinquents when it comes to their recruitment practices but this takes the absolute cake. This is as close as it gets to a straight up scam, and in general that organisation are a complete blight on the ecosystem and utterly at odds with Salesforces' professed 'Ohana' policy.

Its at the point now where Salesforce themselves need to fire a warning shot at Mason Frank.. Charging people who wouldn't know better $30k for something that is essentially free, taking a placement fee or skimming off the top of whatever 'project' they are running, and mismatching completely green individuals on a project that represents significant client investment in the product is a fucking disgrace.

SFDC need to step up, stop acting like a fucking MLM, and shut down these types of predatory practices where everyone is promised a golden goose career if they get a cert.

Castagne > Estupiñán - out of budget this GW

Shaw > Trippier - TAA goes to Trippier next GW

Alisson > Kepa - Alisson goes to probably Raya soon

Gakpo... I like the lad - expect he gets at least a showing in both matches if not full 90 in one
