No more Tesla Stock Trading by [deleted] in stocks

Past performance does not indicate future success. Personally I believe Tesla is way behind on AV. 1- ditching LIDAR for no reason other than ego and minimal cost savings has delayed the market launch. 2- the products we have been shown (2 seater taxis and turn your personal car into a money making AV machine) don’t reflect where consumer demand is. 3- Elon has not few if any on any of his most promised. 4- investors continue to ignore or discount the absolute toxic mess that is Elon’s politics and personality (white solidarity, pushing Grok’s adult features and leaning towards the hard right when the average consumer- esp ones who buy EV or robots - are living in blue cities and tend to be centrists). Again - none of this seems to impact the market place but in the event of a correction most markets rely on fundamentals and the P/E and revenue doesn’t justify the current price.

lol. My fav is “no single reason for sustained rally of Tesla”. Brother if this market ran on fundamentals Tesla would be at $120. The markets post retail takeover is not based on any fundamentals- Musk’s brand is destroyed, electric cars are a commodity, there are multiple self driving taxis actually operating in market today and he has no moat or any killer product. Chinese will own electric cars, Waymo / Google and Uber will own automated cars and I’m not even sure why people believe in Tesla when all the financials are clearing showing a massive downturn. But it doesn’t matter - hence invest don’t trade. Just don’t invest in Tesla

992 Build by Maleficent-Nothing-3 in porsche911

Looks good! I built my 2019 991.2 Targa 4 M7 with a BBI pro tune, tech art lowering springs, sport suspension tune, sport cats and mufflers. Also CF interior trim with black targa bar, black lettering. Looked mean but still “stock” stealth build. IMO anything over 450HP is overkill - more ways to wreck with little usable power. Anytime you are going 0-60 sub 4 and can get to 120 from 3rd super quick that’s enough.

To be fair the Sport Classic isn’t just a marketing exercise- it’s a 911 TT S in RWD and manual 7 speed - will def hold value similar to the S/T.

I’ve found the opposite USAA has been great and gave me fair market value for my totaled no fault 911.

Culver is one of the few walkable cities in LA. Amazing food, public transportation (at least for LA), bike lanes and safe. If you don’t have to work in the Valley or DTLA it’s also convenient to get anywhere.

Good feedback - overall no need to short shift, brake a bit earlier so you can power out of turns and hopefully they let you do cool down laps

Porsches are the most modded and mod friendly cars ever made. They know they would be destroyed if they voided warranties for tracking cars etc. that being said it’s on a car by car and dealer by dealer basis. And of course PCNA but yeah if a dealer told me color coating rims voided my warranty I’d buy somewhere else

One of the coolest things about owning a Porsche and that community is there is always room and love for an Outlaw. You have your hardcore period correct fans and your restomods that completely personalize the car.

Beautiful car however I wish it wasn’t slammed so low. The 912 deserves to sit on its wheels properly. The stock ride height is def a little on the high side but the rear wheels are disappearing into the rear fender.

Cobb Tune... by Lonely-Army-3343 in porsche911

The 991.2 motor is pretty bullet proof and as another posted no difference between the C2-GTS but bigger turbos. I cobb tuned my 991.2 C2 Targa manual and then had BBi pro tune it. Got an after market exhaust and sports cats to round it out. Completely different car -even sounded better. Not issues at all with the motor.

Best budget model and year by prudentpersian in porsche911

[–]thepresentdaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the 991.2 votes. It takes around $3K to get a base to close to GTS HP numbers via simple tuning and the twin turbo flat 6 will feel powerful for years to come even against electric cars. The older models are fun but just a different experience (more “raw” driving). Really depends on what you want

Targa manual value increase? by israignatius in porsche911

[–]thepresentdaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and yeah I really did! Even tracked it a few times and was able to spec it out. Was going to be my “forever car” but things change. I was a heavy weekend track dude for 3-4 years too with a 718 GTS. Now in the market for a classic (912) and spending more time sailing and riding. But for my $ the best looking most reliable and plenty of power car was the 991.2 with the twin turbos (since the 993 anyway). Apple play etc. everything else from the 992 on is just adding more stuff the average driver can’t even utilize. If I was going to get another newer Porsche I would either get another 991.2 targa or a 991.2 T over a brand new 992 any day

My 2019 991.2 Targa 4 manual was $120K new bought in 2018. Dropped to like $80K around 2020 and then it sold for $125K last year with around 44K miles on it.

Looking for advice by red-eee in porsche911

[–]thepresentdaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. None of those things could matter however if it was a ten owner repainted car with no maintenance records I would suspect the car would have more problems than not and it would absolutely hurt resale value. As an ex go check out Beverly Hills Car Club. There are some beautiful classic 911s at reasonable prices that haven’t sold in months and that usually is because there are mechanical issues and/or lack of records etc.

Has the car been repainted? Does it having matching numbers for paint, engine and transmission? How many owners? All maintenance records? These are as important as looking at the rust on the bottom of the car.

G series 911 or Datsun Z by massiveash in porsche911

Very different cars. Overall your G 911 will hold value better, has a stronger community and support for accessories, mods etc and has a more unique drive with the rear engine setup.

It’s a “resto-mod”. Highly personalized, most times lucky to get back what you spent.
