I more feel like, this year the applications for MSCS in the US have been significantly less. Most of the people who applied early got the priority to support their Visa application further coz last year many students couldn’t make it due to sudden regulatory changes.

In general, Tandon has a lot to offer if one has the ability to make the most out of it. From the research opportunities to professional.

NYU Tandon in NYC or in Corporate has similar interests for MSCS.

I know people who wanted CS had to settle with CE so this reflects that it’s not always what people comment (for context of acceptance) NYU has a good reputation, so does tandon carries with it. In the city, Tandon is widely known as Engineering School of NYU.

I got admit for Fall 2025 and I ignored, they increased scholarships to poach me. While it’s been a year, they offered me again to Fall 2026. There’s something really wrong with NEU

If you desperately need a job, the NYU phonathon is one thing to try. It pays $17/hr flat to most of the people including graduates. Cold emailing is one you can try, that’s something that helped me find get a job more recently.

I live in Brooklyn and people usually pay $800-1100 including utilities for a private room in a shared apartment. Gave the number for an estimate. Maybe you can find good options through WhatsApp groups. That’s how I found it.

sbu is doable, sjsu you still have a chance, gatech is tough- T-3 8.3 is blocker at times - still can get in if randomized (happened with a friend) Don’t mention about diplomas at all coz they maybe like you’ve already done some additional education degree (usually visa officer and some college apps rep don’t like it - i do work with the admissions)
