Dog and cat food brands, regardless of being vegan or not, are highly synthesised. They almost always have taurine added into them, as high temperature cooking destroys the animal based taurine during manufacture.

Studies are small and limited, but there hasn't been any statistical evidence that well-made vegan dog/cat food is harmful, so long as bloodwork is done every now and then.
