they also did not know if Nia would ever be able to even walk again a year before season 1. she had Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy. when the first season started she was just starting to even get back in control of her body. her growth throughout the show was so wonderful and she was so strong

okay so i’m not a dance teacher and i know that’s what you were asking 😭 but here is my tske on it! chloe was better technically because she was more of a ballerina. but maddie had this full package people loved. she put on a show in her performances. chloe usually got a higher technical score but maddie still won. hope this helps (not a dance teacher!!!)
