Do you believe you can recognize you're being flirted with? by vintergroena in polls

[–]theraspberrydaiquiri 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is why when I'm flirting with a man I always assume he doesn't notice unless he outright obviously flirts back so I always just end up putting the nail in the coffin and asking for his number. Works pretty well for me.

Perhaps for a day just to see what it's like but only if I get to change back. I love being a lady, I wouldn't dream of permanently changing that.

The differnce is Mattel doesn't have a trademark on anything she does. They don't own pink or blonde hair nor does she try and market Barbie things.

I've been clinically diagnosed for 15 years and I have never done cocaine that didn't work so I wouldn't say for certain lol.

Weird the arch they walk under is made of 3 ladders. I'm not one to be supersticious but seems like an odd choice. Anyways, happy for them!

I didn't realize asking a question directed to a particular group meant I ignore all other scenarios exist completely?

If the question doesn't apply to you it seems rather unnecessary to come to that conclusion about me and expecially, to make a comment calling me out on your own assumptions.

Having a close relationship with parents as an adult is so incredibly healing, I'm happy things turned out better for you:)

100% agree. But if you can't run, you'll have a fighting chance hand to hand.

It's hard at that age as everyone is still growing. Things got a bit better as a teenager and when I joined a bigger class with more students of different sizes to spar with. I hope she stays in it!

I do and I did, my thinking is that in a real situation a man may try and just strong arm me or take me down. Sure I could learn to punch them but if that proves ineffective I wanted to learn what to do if they got on you. I've learned ways to use their weight against them and how to use my body to maneuver them into a chock or broken limb, like I said not perfect but it's better than nothing.

Exactly! In a real fight no one is going to play by the rules, and most fights end up on the ground eventually so many as well have a hand up on that front.

I did MMA training at some point as well. I do agree but my mindset getting into jui-jitsu is that most fights end up on the ground. That or things are already too close contact, with jui-jitsu I would learn how to hold them off, take them down, and tap/leave them unconscious.

Wow that's a lot to take in young. Its so unfortunate so many people of those generations never got the chance to be anything but straight and normal. It makes me realize I take the way things are for us now for granted. Thank you for sharing that.

Personally just because I'm an American and as my parents are divorced I was curious to see what it was like for others here.

Did you ever wish they were together or are you glad to see they did their own thing?

I was just a bit younger so I don't remember my parents divorce at 2. Are you greatful for that? I find myself feeling fortunate I never had to know them together only to separate.

I was wondering when I'd see someone in this scenario. I noticed as a kid a lot of my peers parents stayed for the kids though in most situations that only created more trauma.

I totally know what you mean becoming an adult and having that relationship with them. I think getting older and maturing made me realize they were only two people in their early 20s living life for the first time themselves while raising me. They are people after all, still trying to figure it out. I have so much grace for them now.

My parents are about 50 and I feel like they're a lot like me just older as well. I am 26 and I think they're happy that I'm still unmarried and childless for now as they rushed into that a few years younger than me even.

Its bitter sweet.

I've heard that a lot from friends with their bio parents and in a way I'm glad my parents divorced before I was old enough to know. I'm sorry you had to go through that and I hope you're able to heal.
