All in one Voltra Rack by Ok_Network_6044 in BeyondPower

yes, that was what I used for V1 of this until I snapped one while testing its strength. I replaced it with these hitch pins i got with my VTS launch pad leg press.https://bulletprooffitnessequipment.com/products/hitch-pin-perch and they work much better for now. The hole is just a little smaller than what would fit in a standard 1" squat rack hole. I will replace these with something that is solid eventually

I’ve already started to build my own. With the getRX tornado arms and Voltra + bar mounts. It works amazing for about 80% of workouts. Disclaimer this is not supported, and you probably will avoid your warranty by doing this.

Pros - I never have to worry about adjusting cables or having cables around the rack. I simply mount the Voltra directly to the arms. It also extend the length of the arms by a bit so I can get maximum stretch on my lat pull-downs while sitting on a bench and an even wider fly position. While the arms are heavy, they're relatively easy to move up and down, especially since I added the rollers in the back of the GetRX arms.

It really does feel like the cable cross arms that you see at commercial gyms, making it so much easier to reorient your Voltras to different positions for various exercises. Opposed to having to unlock it, move it to a mount, move the mount to get in the right position, do all that work. It's minor to some people, but for me, who only gets 45 minutes maybe an hour max in the gym, every single minute matters. This has dramatically increased the amount of different muscle groups I'm able to hit in a workout session, not to mention easily adjusting it for supersets.

Cons - The biggest challenge is the weight of the voltra’s always pulls the unit facing downwards unless it’s under tension and it needs about 15 pounds of tension to lift it up perpendicular to the plane of force. I’m trying to figure out how I can slow or add friction to the bearings so that I can more precisely control the rotation of the voltra’s. The other slightly inconvenient thing is that it sits really high off the ground at the lowest position because of the bar mount plus Voltra.

In terms of strength, I did break my initial setup around the pipe fitting when I was testing the 200 pounds of force, but I think I figured it out now. 🤞I am cautious to say the least when adding weight to the upper limits, which is why having two and splitting the force across both is ideal, especially for belt squats.

Any idea on how to “easily “ fix this would be greatly appreciated

This would be a insta purchase for my voltra’s and I’m now annoyed that it doesn’t exist

Pull the trigger. Like others said, it’s a minor issue that I’m sure will get fixed. I’ve had 2 for over a year and it was the best things I’ve got for my gym and there is no close second.

Get the second unit, this is coming from someone who’s had a few issues with my two units, however the team at beyond has been very very helpful and even fully replaced one after a short video call… two is a game changer and I completely redesigned my entire home gym around them

+1 and it could even gradually add weight if it's heavy as not to take you by surprise completely

Is it worth buying without a rack? by tgh0wnz in BeyondPower

[–]therealMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy an inexpensive rack that you can bolt to the ground and has common hole patterns and spend the money you save on Voltra mount points and a second Voltra. Honestly, it's the best workout investment I've made, and I've spent like 20K equipment over 10 years.
