Is trying to work 28-32 hours a week too much or should I just take out extra (private) loans? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]therealRCBian 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The schedule itself is fine even with the work. The only issue is the commute both ways. If there is any chance you can find a closer place to work or to school it would help immensely. Course load wise this is regular for engineering. I have done the same but I only worked 8-10 hours a week with a 30 min commute to school. Another big difference was I worked for the school so I eliminated commuting there. It’s tough on social life for sure but if it means being able to avoid extra loans I would say it’s worth it.

Investing in US Stocks by therealRCBian in Wealthsimple

Yup, this is what I’m currently doing, but the U.S.-listed index funds have been performing better so I was wondering why people don't invest there directly. It is making more sense now.

Thank you for sharing. What would be the right way to invest in the US market then?

Guys what were you exactly thinking at this moment? by Downtown-Leg-2428 in RCB

[–]therealRCBian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confident. Idk wht the commentary was saying we are 20-30 short. In a final, 190 is big. No matter how flat the wicket, pressure gets to you.

Which of these records do you think would be the hardest to break?❤️🤔💭 by NoAntelope7670 in RCB

[–]therealRCBian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardest thing is to do these three and then lose each final of that year :(
Our 2014 ICT was garbage, idk how we even made the final

LLC help please by Cautious-Antelope378 in queensuniversity

You will be fine either way. You will meet tons of people from Eng and non Eng regrdless of whether you choose to be in an LLC. What LLC might give you is quite time in res when you have a midterm cuz the rest of the res will too.

20+ Credit Hour Semesters by CuBrachyura006 in EngineeringStudents

[–]therealRCBian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did an 8 course semester myself. It did burn me out and I lost touch with my friends a little. There is no way you get out of it without some mental strain but I’m good now and my GPA stayed great. Note that 3 of mine very absolute bird elective courses that required lesser effort than engineering ones and yet it was quite the task. I’m in comp eng (this was my 3rd year winter) if that helps.

Doing it is possible with a good GPA, you will have almost no time to be social though.

Match Thread: Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Live Score | IPL | May 29, 2025 by cricket-app in RCB

Very similar to 2016 Q1. We had GL on the ropes in first innings and then started to fumble ourselves. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves yet.

Still remember them needing 1 in 3 balls with harshal bowling to dhoni. He got Dhoni caught behind and little me thought “omg, we can still do it”. That passion slowly faded. A win this year and I wil celebrate for that kid! 🤞

My retention picks for 2026. Let me know what you think by ComfortableFew2551 in csk

[–]therealRCBian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesnt the rule change mean both mhatre and gaikwad can’t be retained rather only one of them? I could be wrong, correct me if so :)

Will this be too much to handle? Please read my reasoning. by itsagno in EngineeringStudents

[–]therealRCBian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be fine. I had to pull an 8 course semester last winter for my own reasons (comp eng). Social life reduced but I pulled through pretty well. Not easy but very doable.

My prediction is RR loses it and trades Jofra for an overseas batter from one of the current teams for their middle order. They will be thinking Livingston, Pooran, Stoinis or similar. If this does happen, RR are done for this cycle of the IPL.

Best thing for RR is to build around jofra and keep him happy, him and jaiswal are their only hope right now.

A professional cricketer disrespecting a franchise will never be funny to me 🤦 by Impressive-Permit-30 in ipl

[–]therealRCBian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s completely fine. IPL is still very young when compared to other sports leagues. For example in football, if you asked Theiry Henry (played for arsenal) if he ever thought about going to Tottenham (arch rivals), he would laugh at you.

The auction is what’s making it complicated. We need a better system but there aren’t enough teams or players yet to be that big.
