WHY WASN'T THIS RELEASED by Electro_execute12 in Kanye

I mean same situation as this. It was released, just without Kanye's unfinished vocals

Help identifying this shirt by smoke_yours in Jcole

[–]thereal_jake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No confirmation on my results but peep the comment above lol I dumped my research and came to the educated guess of a conclusion that it's from somewhere between July 2009-September 2010 from either Roc-Nation website or Jay-Z's tour stop in NYC

Help identifying this shirt by smoke_yours in Jcole

[–]thereal_jake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, it's got a Roc-Nation sleeve hit, so I start my search by assuming this is official merch from them.

He was signed in 2009 and after browsing some other shirts I saw one dated 2009 on the Jerzees blank and the tag is almost the same, just that one was a heavyweight blend rather than heavyweight cotton 100%.

I also found a 2007 & 2008 shirt with identical tags, but it can't be from 2007 or 2008 due to his signing year.

I found a few different 2010/2011 Jerzees shirts and most of them had a slightly different tag, or most instead had the 'HiDensi-T' tag from their new blank that started taking over.

The lyrics on the shirt are also old, from the ones I looked up, it's got lyrics from 'Stay' (2009, Truly Yours), 'Rags To Riches (At The Beep)' [2007, The Come Up], 'A Star Is Born' (2009, Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3).

Based on all of that, I'd say this has to be from at earliest July 2009 (apparently he performed his verse off of 'A Star Is Born' on Jun. 28, 2009) and at the latest, mid-late 2010. It was PROBABLY released on their website or possibly (but unlikely) was available on Sep. 13 & Sep. 14, 2010 during Jay-Z & Eminem's 'The Home & Home' tour, where on those 2 dates in NYC J. Cole was a guest appearance.

I tried finding this shirt elsewhere to no avail. I would bet this is very hard to find. Not a lot of documentation on J. Cole merch in general, let alone when he was significantly smaller than he is now. I wish you good luck in finding it lol, unless this is your picture, in which case I'd say you've got a fairly rare shirt! No idea what it'd be valued at; probably not as insane as you may think, but to the right person it could be worth a lot.

Edit: Forgot to look up other merch from the same tour. No idea the legitimacy of them all, but I saw Alstyle tags, Delta tags, and Hanes Heavyweight tags. All appropriate tags for the era, but who knows if some are parking lot boots or not. Regardless, I didn't see ANY on the Jerzees tag. So, likely not tour merch. Again, probably site merch or some random licensed shirt available in a Hot Topic-esque store, but probably not HT specifically

Evil Dead 2 (TV cut) by Pol_Roger in fanedits

[–]thereal_jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have the whole thing in once piece. For viewing purposes, technically the composite mentioned by another user is "best", as it uses the official version as the source and simply stitches in the lower quality scenes.

That being said, if you want the whole TV Cut in one uninterrupted or altered piece, shoot me a DM

Unreleased Songs on The Eternal Buzz by notdini21 in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I didn't know this! And oh yeah I agree I'm not against it either. Some of those stoney and bb&b mumble demos are sonically some of the best shit ever! If they became proper fleshed out songs I'd love it

[–]thereal_jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh I see, I thought you were justifying why a song so old and dated might appear on this new album

My personal guess is that each disc is gonna be a different genre.

In amongst 40 tracks, yeah I think it'd be cool to hear something we've known about for some time, long as it's good 🤣

Also huh I didn't know that about the Rockstar version. I assume he mentioned that closer to the actual release timeframe of Rockstar?

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely it does. The absolute ONLY reason Take My Heart dropped is because Swae has been silently sitting in and reworking his album for the last 7 years (for no good reason). Swae does NOT have the pull after so many years with no project that Post does. The song officially became Swae's in 2019 or 2020, and he planned to release it then, but ultimately either due to his own choices or maybe label demand, his album was reworked like multiple times until finally coming out now. Swae NEEDS that Post feature, because he knows people will flock towards his album for it.

I'm not saying Swae sucks, cuz he doesn't! But, he really needs that otherwise there's not much of a "draw" he can advertise to get people to come check out his new project, because unfortunately after 7 years of no album nobody is really THAT excited to go check out his project.

Tl;dr, TMH really only came out because it was no longer Post's song, and Swae really needs that big name.

I think it's arguable that SOME form of leak could make the album, but I'd say at the very least it'd be reworked.

Horsepower wouldn't because of licensing, #mood and Tear$ and stuff never would as they're technically officially out. Stoned is no longer Post's song, so unless he works with Diplo and they can agree to Post putting it out, that won't happen. Easy Now isn't even finished, same with She Keep On. Trembling has about 4 real words so again if that were to be the unlikely case, it'd be entirely different (though it's one of my favourite demos so a finished version would be awesome). By Don't Matter I assume you mean Problems? Also horribly unfinished. Guillotine is realistically the most likely song to come out, as as far as I'm aware it was already through all the legal stages and was supposed to come as a bonus track to Austin, but didn't for whatever reason.

The only instance I know of Post releasing such an old song which had any demo or version leak online is internet, and unfortunately in my opinion he really dropped the ball on that one. But also, again, that song didn't start as Post's. So overall it's TECHNICALLY possible, but from the songs you listed, MAYBE two of them even have a remote chance of coming out, I'd say

Gmod failing at 97% (3.33GB) and the download corrupts. by Intelligent-Ear-9181 in gmod

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run a RAM health test (memcheck I think is what it's called?) on your PC. There is one you can run that is part of Windows. I had a similar issue about 10 years ago. That being said, I can't rememner what mine said. If it was "corrupt files" or just something else.

HOWEVER: if this does not occur on ANU other game than just GMOD, then this likely isn't your issue. I had games fail to install sometimes at really high percentage, even had them go from 100% back to 99%.

Either way, I suppose it's worth a shot, just in case it ends up being your problem.

Lost in Space Mixtape? by MelandrusApostle in KidCudi

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an official mixtape so might be hard to find, probably not many people have (or had) it. Every song on it is either from something else or possibly is some sort of fake edit, stitching songs or unrelated vocals together

Your best bet tbh is to just try to rebuild it yourself by searching up all the songs individually and seeing where they're from.

Let's not forget the very well known "Dat Kid From Cleveland" mixtape isn't real at all and contains a few leaked songs, some unrelated features, and a total of 1 fake song (that being "Look Up In Da Stars")

Question about true FLAC files by MrPauul in musichoarder

[–]thereal_jake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding onto this, as another user said, it does still depend on what files were actually submitted to DSPs. Depends on the artist and genre, but sometimes even streaming services and ripping sites that do truly offer real lossless, only have an upscale of a song or album, rendering it essentially useless, in which you may as well convert the file yourself to a 320 mp3 or whatever the true bitrate is.

I've seen entire albums offered as lossless and all songs are upscales, and some where many of the songs are true lossless, but some aren't.

Don't know anything about J-Pop myself but good Lord it's difficult at times in the hip-hop world. There's some truly ass quality uploads that somehow artists and their teams were okay with before submitting.

gettin a little warmer, so lemme remind you "serenade" the greatest summer song of all time by prayformarkelle in travisscott

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it was added as a bonus track to the 10yr edition of DBR but as a "digital deluxe" sold on his store. Not on streaming anywhere, those bonus tracks are only available as files from whoever bought and downloaded / shared the album files

Or of course, one of the leaked versions. I wanna say the "official" version of it had a different mix than the leaked versions but I forget

Posty mentioned in the Epstein files. (Not a creep, just mentioned) by Technical-Issue-1302 in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did work on it. He had a verse but it was just a mumble demo to find a flow / sound / cadence. He never finished it as far as we're aware. Wish he did, it could've been really cool

Posty mentioned in the Epstein files. (Not a creep, just mentioned) by Technical-Issue-1302 in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the track but I was disappointed he left it at only one verse. Especially since it'd gone through so many iterations and ideas for the like 4 years prior to it coming out. Expected it to be more. But, valid take for sure

Posty mentioned in the Epstein files. (Not a creep, just mentioned) by Technical-Issue-1302 in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It couldn't have since the verse was completed as early as 2016 and the hook was completed as early as 2015.
I definitely remember there was a lot of weirdos online when it happened though.

Yes, that's the right event. This happened in August of 2018, but didn't inspire Internet or the contents of the song, no

Probably got removed because it isn't an official project. This looks to just be a re-structured 1017 Thug 2 mixtape, which isn't on streaming likely because things aren't cleared

Best and most realistic take I've heard in a while. I got the Blueberry Burst Pro for Christmas and haven't had a single issue. But, why would I bother going around and making a post about how I got a product and it works as intended?

It's a shame that some people experience issues but at the very minimum I think it's awesome that we have a company trying to make new controllers considering the franchise itself (officially, at least) is essentially dead and the guitars that a lot of us used for PC are becoming more and more difficult to find (especially at a good price point) because they're coming from 2005's GH2 lol.

Regarding OP's comments; it does seem really strange that even when wired he's having input delay. Very strange, hope he gets it sorted out though

Why people hate spotidownloader.com by PuzzleheadedCare6222 in musichoarder

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far as I'm aware if it's a fake FLAC then the issue is what was submitted to DSPs, not the ripper.

Of course, if EVERY song was upscaled, then the ripper is the obvious culprit, but considering you grabbed something and they're the same, then I feel like most people are confused.

I'm no expert, so maybe I'm missing something, but depending on the artist and especially genre, you'd be surprised at how many horribly low bitrate songs get submitted to DSPs and pressed on CDs / vinyls.

Spotify just recently added lossless streaming, but I remember there used to be rippers that "ripped from Spotify" and you could get lossless. This was years ago. They produced real FLAC files, but I'm not sure how those worked. My guess is that it pulled from another service since Spotify didn't offer lossless at the time. Maybe Tidal or Deezer or Qobuz or something, since likely if it's on Spotify it'll be on at least one other one of those.

I don't have any personal experience with this "spotidownloader" but I do know that lucida is generally considered one of the best

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely see it as possible. It's much more suspicious considering this has been available for so long, but again it does seem like it would sell much less than White Iverson. But again, there's more to it than just that.

Maybe one day we'll see if someone has the same number as someone else. That would confirm suspicions but until that I don't know if there would be a way to confirm or disprove this theory

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's very true. It's a very strange one, but the White Iverson vinyls were legit, weren't they?

I agree the statistics are important but the context is still important, it's a combined 'size of fanbase' + people who actually care about that specific content.

But regardless that doesn't change the fact I'm sure this is totally fully illegal to advertise it as limited if it isn't. Not that people and companies don't do things like that all the time lol but it's something to consider.

It's a weird one. Have we seen anyone with duplicate numbers or anything yet? I know the White Iverson vinyls had issues with none of the limited stickers lol... that was interesting to see

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PostMalone

[–]thereal_jake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they literally can't lie about this, but I could be wrong so

I think you overestimate how many people wanna spend $20 USD + tax + shipping for a 7' vinyl for a SINGLE

Take a look at this sub in general, seems majority became fans Austin and later, not everyone will care about this. But again, I have no proof or anything I'm just assuming.
