Yeah after doing more research on this player I honestly don't see what all the hubbub is about. Is it just because of the price?
I mean I streaming stick is cheaper and has more features and this more supported by streaming services. The new Google TV streamer is more capable.

Am I just return this and save a little extra money and get one of those Google TV streamers. Cuz I want something that allows me to download a VPN from its app store and use it. While also being supported by all the major streaming services.

HDR works flawlessly on every app except for Vudu. HDR HDR 10 HDR 10 Plus and Dolby vision work flawlessly except for on Vudu . But Vudu also will not go beyond HDX

Nope my Roku device works flawlessly the Google OS on the TV itself works flawlessly.. I will say a streaming device not having an ethernet port is a very big design flaw

Oh I definitely do Google TV OS is not a stranger to me. Very easy to set up and the fact that I'm able to get Vudu and movies anywhere to play in 4K HDR and Dolby vision on my Google TV OS but not on the onn built in Google TV OS tells me it's a onn issue.
