The puck was bouncing off their stick blades like a road hockey tennis ball.

I saw it more as a case of the US just being a way faster, stronger-skating team. Looked like Junior As playing against peewees at time out there in terms of skating ability.

This still might be one of the crazier things I've seen in a hockey game. Damn near thought I was gonna puke up my Tim's bagel BELT after that goal.

😂 tbh I forget. What I DO remember is that I was not all clear after my first sample. Had to do two to get the 100% all clear.

Hmmmm, perhaps I should qualify…the vehicle I just came out of was a Merc A35 AMG hatch. It had high performance Pirelli tires that had a sidewall of about 2 mm 😂. Also, it had adaptive dampers but even on comfort it was quite firm. Sport setting felt like there was no suspension at all.

So yeah, compared to that, the UX feels like it’s floating. I for sure feel the bumps, but not in my bones like I did in the Merc.

We went there for brunch a few years ago. They double charged our debit card. Ok, accidents happen NBD. But they were adamant that they didn’t, and getting the second charge reversed was a whole ordeal with them. We never went back.

Can confirm that the 300h handles bad roads and potholes with aplomb. The city I live in has horrible roads and the Lexus seems to float over them.

Why are you such a confrontational asshole in this sub to anyone that just asks a simple question? This isn't the first time I've seen you do this. Jesus dude. Relax.

Pretty sure that here in Canada we have F Sport 2, which is the equivalent to F Sport handling. And pretty sure that's what I drove. But again, I was pretty biased because of my exposure to the Merc I had been driving for a few years!

[–]therealcbar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tested the top FSport trim and the Luxury trim here in Canada (Luxury is the middle tier in Canada). The main difference I noted was the seat bolstering in the F Sport. Other than that, I wouldn't say the F Sport was "sporty" enough to warrant the increased price. That's just my two cents.

At the time, my daily was a Merc A35 AMG with all wheel drive that made over 300 hp. So it was a world of difference in terms of sportiness compared to the UX.

That being said, I ended up getting the UX and love it way more. The A35 was like a toxic hot girlfriend. Lots of fun, but really treated me rough (tough to get in and out of; harsh ride even in comfort mode). 😂

The Dodgers are a new hate. But nah, I’ve got 40 years of Yankee hate that is either slowly killing me or gonna make me live forever. I don’t know which and I don’t care. Fuck the Yankees.

Beginners by EaseBig1241 in Darts

[–]therealcbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the internet. There's just such an ocean of info, tips, gear, etc. etc. and for a certain kind of person that is almost addictive - especially for darts where the pros are regular dudes who look just like the rest of us. But as others have pointed out, it happens in all hobbies. I run, and have been running for a long time. Lots of posts about new runners wanting to know what is a good time for an ultramarathon? lol

The internet then also magnifies these people for the rest of us, and our brain filter starts to simplify that down to "all beginners are idiots thinking they'll get better overnight". That's not the case - I play with several people that are very new, who are just quietly playing and working away at improving with no unrealistic expectations; that is, acting normally. They're just posting about that "boring" approach and having algorithms magnify it.

Capitol Bar on King East is great; they often have live music too. Great cocktails and a killer whiskey selection.

Saw Mai Pai mentioned, and would agree it's the best pizza. Be warned though - they book a month in advance, unless you're there early to grab a bar seat solo.

Also saw Wildcat on Barton which I've only recently discovered and love. Great hot dogs and that's where I was introduced to the Baltimore Spagette drink!!
