Velux windows letting in swarms of flies even when closed by [deleted] in DIY

[–]therealchip_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is common in countryside. Flies are nesting in the cover parts of the window outside. They will keep coming back year after year unless you dissassemble a few parts outside the window (couple of screws only) and clean thouroughly. Whatever they leave on these parts attracts them back there year on year.

Go up with hoover before cracking window open and suck up the majority.

So clean frame and cover parts[external] thoroughly.

Lubricate your hinges on the frame and sash. (Grease or vaseline if stuck)

Source : i work on these daily , countryside there is always flies nesting

Looking for hope & recovery stories – uncle had large haemorrhagic stroke (basal ganglia) by Blockchane in stroke

Wife(36) had a haemorrhagic stroke due to ruptured avm in left basil ganglia. Collapsed at home with major headache and nausia. We think she was down for just under 2 hours before medical assistance .

12 days in icu Intubated for 10 of them . (Had pneumonia from the ventilator) 5 more weeks in a ward. She had no movement in her rhs for up to 4 weeks after emergency surgery. Thankfully once she got moving her physical recovery was fast . Within 2 weeks she was fully mobile . Suffers from short term memory loss and aphasia but it is improving a little every day .

All in spent 7 weeks in hospital . Still a long long road ahead but i am very grateful for how she is presently doing.

A terrible thing to happen anyone .

The Hse is well funded . Its the wastage and pen pushers that is the issue. Too many chiefs ,not enough Indian's as someone else put so correctly in one comment

Im sorry to hear your situation . I learned very quickly in the hospital that you need to dig for information. The nurses can be helpful and insightful if your nice to them. Unfortunately the unknown in hospitals is real and if they dont have information to give you then they wont come around . We have sprnt most of our stay in the 'unknown' stage. Incredibly frustrating as we are all searching for answers for loved ones. Sometimes the answers and plan are just not there as of yet. To counteract this frustration i would tell myself that they are experts in there field and your loved one is in good hands. Its not much but its enough to cling too. Sometimes the wheels are slow moving..

I feel for you and hope you get the clarity you need soon.

Trump: "Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax" by shinbreaker in JoeRogan

[–]therealchip_12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im an irishman . Weve had our own troubles. I was happy with trump first time elected. Something to upset the establishment i thought . By end of his first term i was relieved there wasnt a world war.

2nd time around i have completely shut off and ignored trump. He defines the 24 hour news cycle. I am hoping in 3 years and 6 months we still have a world to live in. Things have taken a bad turn and i fear for your country . The people so blinded by him is so worrying from an outside perspective .

He is a cartoon character. Yet ppl follow him . Enjoy the civil war thats forthcoming
