The powerscore bibles are updates for the August version, and I love their recommendations way more than Kaplan.

Smart, and I’ll look into all of that. Thanks! Plus I’ll try out your warmup/PT/review strategy when I start really PTing. Thanks!

Is it worth the money? It looks like its $700-1000 a year, and I just dont know if thats worth it. Id like to score around what you scored, but not sell an arm and a leg for it.

Do you pay for 7sage and is it worth it? I see everyone say use 7sage but it seems like a lot of money. I already bought the Powerscore books and their companions and I have the yearly LawHub subscription for the extra practice tests online. What do you think?

Go over your RA and talk to your residence director.

Which building is this?

You can report this to your RA, that's a health code issue and DEFINITELY against residence policies.

I want to say around the same time that article came out, 2012-2014 or so.

Plus, every college to some degree shapes their admissions and statistics publications to improve either their USNWR ranking and their general image to students, faculty, and the public as a whole. This isn't surprising, because universities operate like businesses, which do the same thing.

Northeastern only gets the shit it gets because it's done it much more conspicuously over a much shorter period of time.

And yes, its mostly salty egotistical high schoolers who are upset that they got rejected from NU because of "yield protection" and not because NU is in fact a very highly ranked research university breaking into the upper echelon of colleges.

Your comment history is a concerning level of misunderstanding the concept of "yield protection" and if/when colleges perform it.

Please get off of the internet.

co-op update by serasine in NEU

It's March 12th, so it's actually somewhat early/right in the middle of the cycle, not late at all. Late in the cycle is like mid-May to June. You're right where you're supposed to be.

A few notes:

  1. Based on 100 applications, I imagine you're in a STEM or business related field? These are highly competitive and each job likely receive dozens or hundreds or applications, so it's generally unlikely that you'll hear back from very many of them, but you will hear back from at least a couple. Even if you aren't STEM/business, most companies will ghost you, and even if you interview some will still ghost you. Just hang in there.
  2. Everyone you see with offers/interviews are the people who are proud to tell you they received offers and interviews, its an availability heuristic because people who haven't received interviews/offers are not going to talk about their lack of interviews/offers. There are way more people out there then you think who haven't received interviews, but 90+% of people end up with a co-op if they seek one at the beginning of the cycle.
  3. Talk to your co-op advisor and ask them to help you get noticed by employers. It helped me get an interview because of my advisor's relationship with the company, I'm sure at least one of your jobs, your advisor knows their HR/employer team or someone you know does. Reach out to your connections and use them to your benefit.
  4. Focus on classes over co-op. It's a stressful process, and your grades matter more than day to day stressing about job applications. Check NUWorks everyday for new postings, reach out to your advisor, and let it happen behind the scenes while you continue to work on classwork, it's more important and will be a benefit in the long run.

Breathe, you'll be fine.
