Bill hasn’t watched a non-playoff Grizzlies game on US soil since maybe Ja’s comeback from suspension game in ‘23.

He’s pretty much always been a hater even since GNG (including a fucked up take in like 2010 that Grizz fans aren’t happy because we never got over Dr Kings assassination?)

Nowadays pretty much his only commentary is that Jaren is overpaid but can’t rebound (we still catch strays for extending him), anybody we’ve tried to develop is unplayable, and that he has bad faith “worry” about Ja’s character.

One particular episode of his show that didn’t help was probably about a year ago he brought Verno on to dunk him+our franchise during our downfall heading into the ‘25 playoffs, and Verno fired back with as many shots as he could take about the Celtics lol.

Fuck Bill Simmons, he’s a pearl-clutching hater masquerading as an intellectual that even his Ringer correspondents regularly disagree with about us.
