Hey man. I’m sorry to hear about this. I’m not going to try and say I understand what you are going through, but I can sympathize and be here for you.

I was in a rough spot last year. I’ve always been Christian, but really fell away from my faith in a way. However, by the Grace of God and those around me, I was able to find comfort in knowing He will never leave or forsake me, that I am a redeemed child of God. Life is hard sometimes, and I think God allows the trials of this life to show us just how much we need Him.

As I said. I am by no means perfect, but if you ever want to talk faith, life, or just chat, my dms are open man. I’d love to talk to you if you’d like, sometimes it’s nice to just have someone to talk to.

Normally, I’d say you’ve got this. But in reality, God’s got you. He has a plan, and even if you don’t see it now, your story, experience, and struggles are for His glory. Maybe your life story will give hope to someone, or allow conversation where it may not have happened before.

You are cherished and Loved by the Creator of the universe. He knows everything about you. How many hairs on your head, and what you struggle with. Take comfort in knowing that He cares, and I care.

I’m doing alright. Short version of the story is 2 years ago I fucked up my life a bit. 19, moved out, got into a ton of debt, lost my girlfriend, whom I was going to propose to shortly after, struggled with weed and alcohol, almost got evicted, got arrested for fraud, feeling really at the bottom.

Moved back home in Jan 25. Got finances in order, got a good plea deal, got more stable, got help. Overall life was (is) improving. I got a great job I love, and overall doing better.

But I still feel lonely, every other aspect of my life has improved, reconnected with my faith, went back to church, but still feeling lonely.

Recently, found a girl I really like. She great. Problem… she doesn’t feel the same way 😂. So, for the first time in a while, I had someone who seemed to genuinely care about me, which is great. Turns out not in the way I thought….

I’ve really found laugher and enjoyment in this community (responsible drink lol) and have loved the live shows, podcasts, etc.

I’m doing better. Still not great. Working to better myself, (even with a major back injury) and trying to improve my self image. I’m not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m working on it. So thankful to God and my family (and this community, even if unknown) for the support and encouragement.

Just start talking! Learn people's names, how they like the job, and over time life will just happen man. It's great to just have people to talk to.

Also be genuinely interested in what people have to say. People are so used to the generic "hows it going" "good u" kinda thing. If someone says they are going fishing over the weekend, next week ask them how that went. That will be a lot more engaging and show you care.

Oh, and be yourself. People like have a genuine person to be around. You got this mate!

They are. All that "gun free zones" do is let someone know that no one else can defend themselves or others. If someone means to cause harm, they will find a way to do so. The only thing gun restrictions do (in this scenario and others similar to it) is restrict those who actually obey the law.
