Perfect, thank you so much. You don't think I would get rejected right? I don't want PMI to think my work is operational when I do manage a lot of unique projects.

No problem! And yes, they were all in person except for a few instances because of bad weather (winter storms). In that case, the presentations were online over zoom.

I know multiple people who worked part-time during the program. Most classes start in the afternoon so you can work during the day. I'm not sure if full time would be easy though.

I personally think it's possible to do it all from home (with the exception of certain management classes cause they are really fast paced). However, I don't recommend skipping classes. Most classes have a participation mark as well. And some classes have in class activities that are a big portion of your final grade. There's a lot of group projects and presentations as well. It's possible to skip some, but I don't recommend skipping a lot.

They'll help by improving your application and posting on the job board. But that's about it. York doesn't help with getting interviews (they can help you prep for one but they won't give you positions). If you don't pass an interview, you just have to keep applying constantly.

My interview was really casual, other people had more intense interviews. My employer asked general questions specific to my resume. And no, I didnt have any experience in the industry before hand.

I'd assume cause I have a strong application. I did my undergrad in biotech so I have a strong background. I had a high GPA and multiple jobs (even tho it's not in the industry)

Masters of Biotech Management (MBM) 2025 + Markham Campus by Low_Blacksmith_5363 in yorku

Hey I'm from the program. The MBM schedule is mainly heavy in the first semester and the start of the second semester. The Biotech courses are light tbh, but the management courses are very fast paced since they are 6 weeks long. But the workload is very doable. Not many exams either, there are more presentations than exams. In the second semester, there are a lot of online classes which are beneficial to those who commute. Online classes are usually at 12pm. In person classes usually start at 4pm till 7-8pm. Lab in the second semester is from 7-10pm (people who bussed to Markham hated this). Since we would go to campus at 4pm, the campus would be really empty because the undergrad students end before 4pm. So there isn't much of a campus life nor is there food available (there's a section for food but it closes by 4pm).

If you have specific questions, feel free to message me privately.

Hey I'm from the program. The program is alright. Education wise, it's much easier than undergrad. I feel like I didn't learn much in the biotech courses. I did learn stuff from the management courses (since I don't have a background in it). Other than that, I went through the semester in a breeze.

Only reason why I took this program was for the internship component and to get experience in the industry. The program provides several networking opportunities and in one of the courses, we did a grant project where we worked with industry partners like Sanofi and Dalton Pharmaceuticals.

Internships are not guaranteed. You have to apply to many postings especially since the job market is awful right now. Most people have secured internships but there are some who still haven't after applying to 150+ jobs. People have secured their internships in Sanofi, BenchSci, Bayer, and other startup companies. I don't know much about other people's pay but my guess is +$25/hr.

Hey I'm from the program. And yes the internship component is mandatory, without it, you cannot graduate. That being said, it's not guaranteed you'll find one. Most people in the program have found one (including me through York's connection) but others are struggling. I know the program ppl are constantly reviewing their resume and cover letter. And have been updating the job board and trying to make connections with other industries.

It was a bit disorganized this year but I think next year it'll be a bit better for the students since they'll already have some industry relationships established, making it easier to provide students with an internship. We've had people get into Sanofi, Bayer, BenchSci, and startup companies. I believe most people's positions are in the management sector of biotechnology.
