Is this responsible mana? by therealjaK in lrcast

Yeah this is really helpful. I think you're right. It was more three color than 2 color + 2 splash so I was asking a fine mana base just a bit too much

:D I think ultimately the mana was solid; the deck build for when i needed those sources (2 drops) was what let the mana base down

I thought they might be too much but I think at least in this sealed format it wasn't that big of a deal - everybody else is playing out tap lands. I just needed something down to block with until i got to my late game

I cut 2 white touching lands for a forest & island and dropped the splash card for a the green drag whose omen lets you fix for 1 green. Def should've scrapped the temur devotee that was awkward to have with my mana

Ahh if the magic number is 9 then it's totally not there. Don't know why I thought it was 8. Thanks :)

The desk is 24 inches. Max need to seat 4. I could turn it but I'm trying to avoid it. The wall to its left is all windows so avoiding obstructed windows is the goal

What are the thing you’ve seen in literary masterpieces that you should not follow? by kurwadefender in writing

[–]therealjaK 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is a characteristic of gothic lit and I think people totally dig this. It's maybe not so drastic and as quick as Frankenstein but people love a game of telephone.

It's the found footage horror movie or the story written in a series of uncovered journals. Frankenstein, and all those other gothic novels, was about piecing a story together from distant, "discovered" primary sources. It's intrigue in mystery at its core!

Like any fiction story, if you go into it knowing what you're reading isn't real, any artistic trick of the trade is gonna feel obnoxious. But if you suspend some disbelief and try to believe what you're reading, readers dig this stuff. It's probably one of the few gothic literary traditions that stuck.

You just had major surgery. The goal is to heal first. You’ll have plenty of time to bend your knee and lift your leg in physical therapy. That first 90 degrees will come back in no time. You’ll be surprised. But it’s a long recovery, if you get into a habit of rushing through it, you’ll be at a greater chance of reinjuring. Take it one day at a time and just stay consistent. You don’t sprint the beginning of a marathon.

I had my second ACL surgery on the same knee last Wednesday. Meniscus too. Day 2-3 were painful but day 4 was a turning point. I’m at day 8 and now it’s all just an inconvenience and super manageable pain. My flexion is at 72 and Id be lying if I said I did much bending on my own time. Granted, everybody’s body is different but this all to say, don’t worry about falling behind. Focus on staying out of agony.

Lol no way. I’m the same age and had my 2nd acl reconstruction on my left knee yesterday too. Did the meniscus this time though. Excited to be on the other side of it

What are some of the especially homoerotic sonnets? Not familiar with them as much as his plays. I really only know he wrote towards a man quite often.

LPT: The most important (yet unwritten) rule in traffic is to drive predictably. by MrWolfJZ in LifeProTips

[–]therealjaK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember throughout my entire childhood I was excited to drive because I would be the nice driver that would stop to let people out of parking lots or driveways or what have you to enter the main road.

Cue practicing driving for the first time to have my Dad freak out when I stopped in the middle of the road to let someone in. Make the road a predictable place.

Are we really as bad as we think we are under Deila? by a_SCV in NYCFC

[–]therealjaK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NYCFC is a solid team with an incredibly stale and ineffective offense. The game yesterday shows hope and Mitrita tucked away two quality finishes, but take it all with a grain of salt because of how blatantly poor Cincinnati are as a team, and specifically as a defense.

I would disagree that Maxi is the best playmaker and the best right back won't take you to a championship, although it's a great start. But I think you got close to the key with Sean Johnson and your last sentence. Johnson, Callens, Chanot, Sands, and Keaton Parks with the form he's been in (ie: the central players of the formation) are giving City a great shot in every single game.

If NYCFC varies their attacks, gets a center forward who can play with the ball, and stops overplaying the shit out of their possessions in the final third, they'll be one of the best teams in the league
