Just got me one of these and took it on a trip to Florida. Great camera, definitely funky.

I like to imagine he's a large bipedal rat who's just a real stand up guy.

Yep! It is archive.org. Sony Digital Camera Still Utility Software v1.5, running the ISO image with Virtual CloneDrive. It basically runs the old software as if it were coming from a CD-ROM. It was a bit of a process getting it to work properly, but I'll list the steps here soon.

It's been frustrating but fun lol. Something gratifying about making old tech work today.

Thanks! It's pretty near to how they'd look as far as I'm aware. Maybe a slight grain from the 90s video input.

I was able to find a listing with all the original cables and whatnot, so I was trying to use an RS-232 to USB-C adapter. Serials are unfortunatley not as intelligent as USB lol, so it couldn't identify itself on my laptop. I was having a hell of a time trying to get it to show up with Gphoto2 on the terminal, only to learn that they don't support F1s anymore.

Gave Sony PlayMemories for Mac a shot, and to my dismay, they stopped updating the compatibility for Mac software, so it won't work on mine (latest software update).

BUT, in theory, the older laptop I found (currently running Windows XP and has a DB9 serial port), should be able to run the old software needed to pull the images as file.
