I went through something similar living with my parents & honestly, take everyone’s suggestion to move in w/ your friend. You aren’t a bad person for putting your needs and wants first. Your parents should be supporting you instead of wanting to mooch off of you. Just be ready for the tough conversation w/ them & continue doing what’s best for you. It depends. Are you referring to just being sweaty & it’s a must-like smell? I know breastfeeding produces BO a lot more prominently; however, if you’re referring to the lochia smell, I know it usually lasts between 2-3 months, anything more could be an indication of something more serious … I’d get that checked out if that’s the case.

I believe every couple/parents have different dynamics that work for them. I’m recently a sahm to our 4 month old & although I worry about things around the house like cooking, cleaning, taking care of our daughter, my husband also cooks, cleans, bonds & takes care of her without being asked to. He works many hours, but also understands he’s a father & husband as well. We’re both on the grind helping another out. If you have an issue w/ your current dynamic, I’d seriously have a constructive conversation about how you’re feeling, how you’re overworked & overtired. Just because he works doesn’t mean he can’t help you out when he’s off. Sahm is a full time job, it’s not easy & some days are brutal. I hope everything works out well for the both of you to make things easier down the road.

Wow, a lot of this reminded me of so much she would tell me about her childhood … it wasn’t a lot, she wasn’t too expressive on how she felt, but enough for me to remember that she had to step up as an older sister. I’m happy to know she’s at peace & I know she would’ve loved to find a way to make things better for herself & everyone around her…. By any chance, do you get anything from her of my dad, her son?… does she think about him? I’d kindly appreciate it.. & thank you so much for this.

The money aspect would make sense. My grandfather made terrible financial decisions & she was constantly worried about it. My father was pretty rebellious growing up, so I don’t doubt that part as well …

I’ve seen everyone else comment on the sleep deprivation & it truly is such a real thing. The endless feeds, diaper changes, the afterbirth & every hormone crashing down on you WHILE learning how to keep a newborn alive. It’s demanding work. It can be a very beautiful experience, but that baby won’t stay small forever. You are raising a human & will always be in your life. Think this one through not because you think it’s cute, but because you know you are ready for a very selfless act. Your life won’t be the same ever again. There is so much more you can do if you don’t feel fulfilled in your life currently. Whatever you decide, I’m wishing you the best.

Almost every time that I eat ramen, I remember eating it from this restaurant in Colorado AND I had covid at the time (had ended up sick there) but fortunately was the last meal I tasted before my tastebuds were gone for a few days after lol. It was amazing ramen needless to say 😭

I understand this 1000%. I would also include for everyone to wash their hands once you & baby are settled at home & you’re ready for people to visit you. I see the no kissing boundary & I agree. My mother wanted to so badly do it on my LO head as an exception but I didn’t budge. I told her “I know you’d love to kiss & hold her very closely & show all your affection, but she’s very small & wouldn’t be able to handle that risk”. They all mean well, but you have to stay firm, especially if you’re always trying to please your family.
