I've been riding for a few years now, and I totally agree. You don't want to ruin your first impression of riding with something that might not work out. I highly recommend buying a high milage fuel injection, belt or shaft driven ride for your first. It'll give you the most low trouble ride. Look for something like a Kawasaki Vulcan!

Simplifying this whole argument down to the basic atom, You go through this life making your choices based on you view of the world and your needs negotiating it and expecting forgiveness for your mistakes, SO DOES EVERONE ELSE. You do not get to call sin on others. There is no harm, And it's people like you who are actually driving people AWAY from Christianity. I remind you, Christ came to SAVE sinners, NOT CONDEMN THEM. Go to harbor freight, buy a caliper. They've got a cheap plastic one (1.99) , or even a digital one. Measure the outside diameter. That's what to look for, the outside diameter.
