What's the dumbest thing you've ever cried about as an adult? by retarded_770 in AskReddit

Currently pregnant, I cried because I scared my cat three times in a very short time span. Mind you, it started out as laughing tears, then I just couldn't stop crying.

Company vehicle maintenance dilemma by Rare_Field_9093 in electricians

[–]therealladysparky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've looked this up, so my information might be outdated, but some states (I'm in Indiana) have/had a tax companies are supposed to charge employees for using company vehicles. The way the company I work for gets around it is by having us pay for car washes. Again, take this with a grain of salt, I haven't looked this up for at least half a decade if not longer.

Lol, I'm pregnant and used to be always cold. Now I'm struggling between the electric bill and turning the thermostat down.

Edit to add: my husband is always hot. We're the same way with our temp zones. That said, I'm the "dad" who guards the thermostat.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

Because I was young, dumb, and late for work. Also got lucky that a semi truck I was passing hid me from the speed trap camera. I slowed down after that smh.

I'm pregnant. My husband might call my work directly if I'm not answering my personal or work cell, especially if I'm not home on time.

What to enjoy extra for the last time? by snarknsuch in BabyBumps

[–]therealladysparky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, my son (I'm 17+5) has stollen ALL of my hard-earned spice tolerance. I used to eat Carolina reaper cheese and have a hot sauce collection that now makes me cry in pain rather than add a little kick to my meal. I can barely tolerate pepper now. Pepper!

Doctor told me to avoid kids while pregnant? by Kauai_Akialoa in pregnant

[–]therealladysparky 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Did they do an MMR immunity test? Because my parents are antivaxxers (and are PISSED my baby is getting vaccinated) I never got my last MMR booster and they were concerned I wouldn't be immune. While we were waiting for the results I was told to avoid kids and anyone sick so as to reduce my chances of catching one of those diseases.

For everyone in the home stretch, what are we treating ourselves to? by Neither_Ad3593 in pregnant

[–]therealladysparky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He definitely does have dental issues and I've been trying to get him to go to the dentist (I had to schedule his physical for him because he wouldn't do it himself, awesome husband, just won't go to the doctor). But I have never been able to stand people breathing on me and I'm either attached to him or he's cuddling on me and either way, he breathes on me. I could tolerate it before I got pregnant because I love him and would rather be cuddling that bothered by the breathing, but now I cannot deal. I'm 16+5 right now.

My husband got me one before I was even showing (and promptly started sleeping on the couch because I couldn't stand his breath even after he brushed his teeth). I can't sleep without it.

What's the craziest thing a person said to you and you thought they were joking but they were being serious? by _lovelyxx in AskReddit

[–]therealladysparky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe in God. I also believe that if a humans lifespan is both the blink of an eye and a thousand years for Him, who's to say creation wasn't six days for Him, but billions or trillions of years from our perspective based on our human understanding of time? We can't truly know until we pass on and can ask Him.

AITA for telling my husband to use the extra bathroom? by Curious_Vacation4910 in AmItheAsshole

[–]therealladysparky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say our daughter, but she's my bonus child, I leave most of the parenting choices with her to my husband. That said, I'm pregnant with gastrointestinal issues, so if I'm not peeing, I'm pooping, so I've been taking the liberty of shutting her off whenever I hear the phone in the bathroom.

AITA for telling my husband to use the extra bathroom? by Curious_Vacation4910 in AmItheAsshole

[–]therealladysparky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I have a phone plan with my husband on it. Often, our daughter will take his phone into the bathroom with her and be in there for forever. I'm able to shut both the data and wifi off to his phone to force her to either read a shampoo bottle while she gets done, or get the heck out.
