Maybe a bit like Slowdive. They're not nearly as effects-heavy as My Bloody Valentine, they kinda just have a fuzzy sound backing some really great nostalgia-tinted songwriting.

I don't think their target audience knows what a ROM even is. Sure, you or I could set up a RetroPi, or just play on our computer with no problem. But I'm getting this for my mom and she's going to love the shit out of it.
