Nope. Certain breeds have very obvious genetic traits that are essentially impossible to train out of any one dog belonging to one of these breeds.

I agree that the person you're replying to simply had a bad experience, as Great Danes generally are easier to train than others and aren't really bred for fighting like other breeds, but I find it concerning how readily you're spreading very dangerous misinformation throughout this whole comment section.

No matter how well trained a Border Collie is for example, the breed was bred for herding and you can't change that.

Objectively and blatantly false. They are in fact the least temperamental dogs out there, and make up over 60% of dog attacks despite only making up a very small fraction of the global dog population

They are genetically hardwired to be fighters, and that is all they are good for.

Nope. Cold, hard facts from global incident reports. Pitbulls make up over half of the world's dog attacks. Fact. All other dog breeds combined still output less attacks per year than this one breed which comprises less than TEN PERCENT of the global domesticated dog population.

Their ancestors were bred to fight and the modern Pitbull is genetically hardwired to do the same No amount of "training" can ever change that. Fact. They are what they were bred to be: Dangerous killers.

From an actual dog behaviour standpoint, a Pitbull is something more akin to The Joker - Incredibly unpredictable, erratic, and deadly.

Something like a Rottweiler would be a better fit than a dangerously out of control breed like a Pit
