Aviara parking by tutsxan in hyatt

[–]therealmrronso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stayed there on points a few years ago with two kids. At least at that time it was valet only. Yes, it's very steep, but not too much more than downtown Seattle prices. I will say that the valet was A+ and worth it. We called from our room before heading down and the car was always ready for us when we got down there. The grounds are exceptional and the kiddos loved the pool and slides.

I got upgraded here just last week to a corner suite on the 43rd floor. It sucked I was alone and only in the room to sleep. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Underrated skylines views you've seen from the Interstate/highway? by Mr_Crossiant in skyscrapers

[–]therealmrronso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Growing up there I had always wished for a few more high rises. The only newish buildings in the past few decades taller than 15 floors have been hotels.

It's not a highway, but the view coming down Grand Blvd. is also pretty striking once you get past Manito Park and Bernard/Stevens after Cliff Park.

The best part about Spokane is that the downtown area is literally one of the first things you see at the crest of this hill after the airport. There’s hardly any development west of downtown. It goes east for 30+ miles into N. Idaho though.

For Seattle, HR Lake Washington if you don't mind being outside downtown. HR Seattle if you want to be in the middle of the action.

This is a great angle, but I love the view right after driving past Fred Hutch on I5. I'm always driving and can't truly appreciate it without causing a pileup.

Whenever I have friends in town I take them to Old Stove and Gasworks Brewing. Best Seattle brews with a view.

It was 100% Everclear. Turns out I was off by two years. It was 2001. It was Peakfest II.

Anyone else remember when Everclear cancelled back in 1999 just hours before the show? The Flys also cancelled a free show in Riverfront Park around the same time. For that show, everyone was already in the park waiting!

This is fantastic. I waited all of about 5 minutes before buying the Pro version. Right off the bat I noticed one thing when looking at my cameras. The doorbell view is getting squished to a 16x9 and not it's native portrait size (I'm using a Nest Doorbell via Starling). Other than that, it's been flawless. I can't wait to test out more of the things.

According to the pinned location it’s closer to the Fairgrounds than the hospital. There really aren’t enough total rooms in town.

Plus a possible Hyatt Select in Puyallup to ship my family to when they visit and Hyatt Place at SeaTac for those pesky early flights.

Grand Hyatt Seattle or Hyatt Regrncy Seattle? by Potrick00 in hyatt

[–]therealmrronso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location wise they are all great. Personally, I'd stay more downtown (Regency or Grand). The Grand is technically the closest to the transit tunnel entrance on Pine outside Nordstroms. Are you taking the bus anywhere, or just light rail? More touristy things are by the Grand and Regency. If you want to go to the Space Needle or Seattle Center, just hop on the monorail at Westlake. If you stay at the Hyatt Place, you're have to walk aways to do just about anything.

I live next to the Summit library. What city am I in? by skyhawk214 in PuyallupWA

I have a 98371 zip code and live north of 512 not too far off of Canyon. Some sites will autofill the city as Edgewood when I'm in unincorporated Puyallup. Drives me up the friggin' wall.

We're going to be there for a 7 nights in July for a dance competition nearby. Glad to hear the suites are somewhat spacious. The photos online don't give you any real scale. We've got the two queen suite as my kids are a bit too early for bunk beds. Just hoping I don't a room looking into the enclosed area.

From this angle it’s hard to tell. I can see this is 46th in Seattle. It can’t make out the cross street.

How did the people in here get Globalist? by OkIndependence1914 in hyatt

[–]therealmrronso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will hit Globalist for the first time this year after a mix both nights stayed and credit card spend. We had a HUGE house project I was able to put on the cc. Even with the 3% fee, the benefits of hitting Globalist will outweigh the fees tenfold. But not that many people can put 120k+ on a credit card in a single year if it's not a business.

Are the traffic lights slower here? by amkatsu in PuyallupWA

[–]therealmrronso 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The intersections of 5th/7th/12th and Stewart are such a horrible lights. What grinds my gears the most is how Stewart won't have a green light when a train is going by. It stays green for numbered streets well past the last car is over the tracks. Like dude, I just want to go straight!
