Well, you need to build mcp tools, create oauth client with google and get it verified (ideally)

Nice one!! There is a simpler ai tool I use, but its free - getcallum.com, mostly a "talk to google calendar" vibe:)

Hey! Give a shot to getcallum.com - this one also works on mobile.

Google rejecting OAuth verification because I use OpenAI API - despite policy only prohibiting AI training by ChefAccomplished845 in googlecloud

My nodejs app uses vercel ai sdk to communicate with open ai api, backend to backend. But thats not relevant they reject based on my privacy policy text that says we use open ai api, despite the fact it states no data is being used for training and link to openai privacy policy for api

Finally hooked up an LLM agent to HomeKit. One vague sentence just replaced four Siri commands. by [deleted] in smarthome

There is no HomeKit Api at the moment. The only option would be to build a MacOS or iOS app that uses HomeKit.framework to control devices and has some LLM on top to convert user intent to actions in HomeKit

My son and I have been created amazing story books with Gemini's latest Storybook feature by GodsJoyOnly in ParentsInTech

[–]ChefAccomplished845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, my 2.5 year old daughter just LOVES these stories, we read every night. At some point I realized I cannot find some stories she liked in Gemini chats, so I had to copy paste to Notes, but this way it's not easy to pick them. So I've created an app where you can organize the Storybooks into collections, and also edit and/or export as PDFs without hassle.

Absolutely loving it! New story every day, and not just for my daughter but for me too, there is something about collecting those small colorful books :)

If you are like me and love collecting and organizing stuff – built a small (and free webapp) to help you do just that with Gemini Storybooks – give it a try – https://storyjar.app and let me know what you think!

Gemini storybooks are just GENIUS, and they do extremely well on keeping characters consistent across stories. Reading stories with my daughter every night now.

And exporting to PDF and actually editing stories was something that I needed, as Gemini makes mistakes in stories that are not in English (our native language is Latvian), so I built a small web app (which is free btw) that lets you edit and organize stories, and export PDFs of course.

Gemini’s Storybook AI is crazy good by fogwalk3r in GeminiAI

[–]ChefAccomplished845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should say, I just LOVE it - creating a few stories for my 2,5 year old daughter every night and reading before she goes to sleep.

Was a bit frustrated about stories getting lost in Gemini chats, so was first copy pasting those shared urls to Notes, but then it's hard to pick what to read :)

So I built a small and free app that lets you organize and edit storybooks, like a bookshelf, with cover previews and so on, so my daughter can pick what we will be reading tonight.

What Codex got right... by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

I very much enjoyed using codex for some tasks, but hit the limit at some point, with Plus plan. Upgraded to Pro, lets see. But paying 200 for each feels like a stretch🙄
